New Online Store -- Kicking off marketing campagin

Hi, I just launched my new online clothing store at Un Dia Bonito | CLUB DRESSES, WOMEN'S CLUBWEAR, SEXY DRESSES, EVENING DRESS Un Día Bonito - Fashion.

This is my first one and the first time I've attempted marketing and seo. Does anyone have any good advice on where to start?

I've already begun keyword research, created social media fan pages which I'm updating regularly -- or trying to, google analytics/datafeeds, and am still registering with local listings.

Something tells me I really need to amp up my SEO efforts but there are so many various texts that claim to say everything and nothing, I get a little confused about how much to do, where to start, etc.

What are you thoughts on hiring a professional? I have a very limited budget so... I'm thinking it's not feasible at this point.

Monica

I'm no expert but shouldn't you have done your keyword research before creating the website?

Yeah -- but I'm also no expert -- so it's happening after the fact. Cut me some slack, I've never done this before. Any way, I'm looking for marketing ideas, have been surfing the forum, etc. Any advice is much appreciated.

You dont need to hire a professional. Include SEO as just another tactic in your internet marketing arsenal. Run alot of paid advertising to see results fast, and implement more free marketing strategies to minimize the cost per sale from your paid advertising efforts. Nice site by the way.

Thank you so much! The site took a lot of work because I had to learn the CMS from scratch -- which wasn't a huge deal to learn what I needed -- but it still took some time. Would Google Adwords be the best paid ads?

Hey Monica, congratulations on the site. It looks very professional and fashionable.

I just wanted to ask you a quick question, hope you don't mind, what platform is the site built on? How does one get a site to look like that? Its not a WordPress site is it?

Thing is I am looking to build an e-commerce store v.soon and want it laid out just like that.

Sure -- it's Magento Community with PayPal Payflow Pro shopping cart. I like magento because you have complete control of how the site runs -- and you can hook a "channel" to ebay which will update with your inventory. If you want a decent theme, go to themeforest.net and look under ecommerce. They're a little pricey but totally worth it. You'll see mine on there.
