Anyone know how this squeeze page was made...?

Hey guys,

I have optimizepress, not to mention loads of HTML templates, so I can safely say that my squeeze pages convert well, but I've just found this:

Write Your Own Paycheck

Anyone know which software was used to make this. I love the sine yet striking design. I promise I'm in no way affiliated with it, just curious.

Thanks

There are some plugins that have been floating around lately that create these sort of squeeze pages with the image background and box in the middle. I can't remember the name of them though.

But that one is just an HTML page it looks like they have coded. It wouldn't take much to have a decent coder replicate something like that for yourself. It's a very basic design.

There are many accounts around (including at least one I've seen in this forum) of people who have split-tested that kind of "photo background" design against the same text/form shown on a plain white background, and found that the version with the plain white background performs better.

In fact I haven't yet seen anyone who's tested these claiming the opposite.

Webmasters often love "nice designs". Customers, typically, not so much.

Oh, this page was put through the normal test a lot of marketers rely on. The 'Frank Kern' test. It was used by Frank Kern recently so it must convert, right? That's when people started claiming it was 'the new' optin page and all the plugins began to come out.

What a lot of people fail to realize is that Frank Kern could probably get a squeeze page with no email form to convert. You can't look at what Frank Kern does and just assume it must work for you. He's a different kettle of fish altogether.

This page looks quite simple. It has done with Photoshop & HTML5. It is quite easy to create something like this.

It is my belief that people worry to much about how a squeeze page looks. What's above or below the fold. You need to understand it is the message that is delivered, which is the reason you want people to opt-in.

If they don't opt-in because of the message then you are building a list that does not convert.

When you look at the squeeze page in your example, what do you see first the background image or the message. The message on this squeeze page is a little lame also.

Only people who use clickbank will really understand the message. So right away the target market for this squeeze page is limited. This could be good because it may be a product about clickbank but does not really target the audience that does not use clickbank. So if the product is to get to start using clickbank then the message does not fit well.

I use several different strategies to get people to fill out the form on my squeeze pages.

First I give my free report real value by putting a statement like this just above the form...

We are selling this report here for $7, but you can get it free if you act now!

The word 'here' is a hyperlink directly to paypal so they can pay for the report.

I also put a peel ad on my squeeze pages that will give away an eCourse with an otp-in form. So now I have increased my opportunity to get the visitor onto my list. Both get the information into the visitor's hands a promotion of one of my products.

I also put a 'learn more' button at the bottom of the page that when clicked, an alert box opens that says...

To learn more, fill out your name and email address in the form provided above.

You can see and example of one of my squeeze pages that does this at...

    Article Writer's Cheat Sheet

This has been proven to work for me since my lists total to well over 100,000 opt-in subscribers.

I hope this has been helpful,

It looks very similar to the landers from "wp lead rocket".

Listen to what Will & Alexa are telling you.

I'm actually getting more and more annoyed with these pages as I never know who's list I would be joining if I entered my email. To me personal branding is everything, and a generic headline with a pretty background is trying to sell me the sizzle without the steak.

I wouldn't trust it. Bad grammar always makes me wary.

Thanks for the comments guys. I wasn't going to use something like this as my squeeze pages convert VERY well, but I was intrigued as to how it was made. Simple HTML sounds about right, but wondered if it was a plugin of some sort.

    Thanks again for the help!
