Affiliate offer for untargeted traffic

One idea:
Link them to a survey form, asking for their interests.
Direct them to your affiliate links according to their choice of interest.
With this, your traffic will be targeted accordingly.

Wonder if you are willing to share this new way of driving traffic with me?

Unfortunately that doesn't work for this approach.

The traffic comes from a type of very cheap ad (I may disclose some more details once I have done some tests). The ad can however been seen by any US web surfer. So I need something that will appeal to a wide range of people to get the initial click thru from the ad copy.

u should go with a CPA that have a fully automated platform and recognize which offer type works better for your traffic,and a Geo engine that will automatically display the right offer for each country...

For that kind of traffic I'd probably do a CPA Email Submit offer for things like:

Free iPad
Free iPhone 5
Free Gift $100 Gift Card to ??????

Those offers appeal to a wide audience, provide small resistance to completing the offer, but pay only a small amount per conversion.

You have got to find out what people love or want on a general term. For example, virtually every body would like to earn money (MMO), bath with soap, wear clothes and many more.

Try experimenting with different stuffs and see how it works, you can get them on your list and even promote multiple offers on them.

You should try to match the source of these cheap ads that delivered them in the first place.

If it's from a download page, then focus on freebies, if TV media, then try movies, that kind of thing.

Obviously, it will be hard to asses without knowing the source.

Direct them to survey page, or cpa offer with gift card etc. Or to your own squeeze page about a very general niche like make $100 a day or lose 3 pounds in a week etc. Then sell them affiliate offers in the backend.
