Need Advise for Artist's List Building???
My daughter is an upcoming artist building a fan base. She communicates to her fans through her social sites, twitter etc. We would appreciate your thoughts on list building.
Right now she sends out a newsletter 4 times a year. Her email list has grown to the point where we will have to start paying a $100 a year as the list is almost over the free number of subscribers you are allowed.
She has also been thinking about doing a blog and attaching it to her website and perhaps selling her music etc. through it. We thought about using free feed burner and then as she posts a blog it would go to the emails of subscribers who sign up. She does have a news section on her website but the blog would be more informal and personal.
So I know the key is to build a list....but here we would have TWO different lists. Is that an issue?
Should we choose one or the other ?
