Where Can I Find A Programmer?

I use to be with Scriptlance and loved that web site. They got bought out by freelancer.com I hate freelance no one on there knows what they are doing and most of them are project managers. Where can I go to find real programmers that know and speak English as a native language?

Elance.com is always an option... or your local community college. Throw a note up on a bulletin board...

I suggest ODesk but you really have to scan through the applicants. Since many of them just entered the site for a job without any knowledge of what they are trying to dive into. Try to compare people. But it would be better to get someone you know or someone in your locale, for sure service.

I vote for odesk. I had recently hired a programmer full time in odesk after giving him a small project to test. I have many ideas but never knew that a full time programmer would be so affordable (india coder) so I think I would engage him before anyone does. He is so good that paying 1/5 of what you pay for others would make a huge difference for in house use or making commercial software.

Don't ask me his name. I wont' reveal her to u as she is that good in terms of price and quality. My suggestion is keep looking.

Finding a diamond freelancer is tough, it require time, good test, and dedication to advice them, motivate, and finally see a shining result. I believe behind every successful business, 80 % percent of sales comes from 20 % best employer. You should try odesk, the rate is low, and the work quality is slightly above average. Top-tier programmer also have odesk account and sometimes find some gig for a quick bucks.

    I've had success with CodeCanyon.com

Find a script similar to what you need then hire that programmer because you already know they can do it and they have most of the script component there.

Much better than any freelance site where you get them to start from scratch.

But this is only if a similar script already exists.

Thats awesome, I know many many programmers that were on vWorker, and freelancer.com bought out vWorker. And many of them refuse to work on freelancer.com because they dont like it. It seems that lots of people buyers and sellers are moving over to Elance. Its kind of funny freelancer.com is aggressively buying out there competition but all there doing is driving people to Elance.
