Video Stream

Hi all,

I have a html Squeeze page and I put a video in it using Dreamweaver, the issue is that the video has to load before starting to play. It does not stream like YouTube Videos, Vimeo,etc...

Does anyone know how to set up Dreamweaver to stream video using HTML webpage (I am not using WordPress). My server is Hostgator.

    Yes. Your file is not "optimized" for the web.

    Use Handbrake to optimize it.

    Just import your video...select the "Optimize for web" box and hit start....then your video should stream properly.

      As Nate said use Handbrake and make sure 'Optimize for web' is ticked, and also ensure that you're using the iPhone / iPod settings in the right hand menu. Check the audio too, reducing the bit rate to say 128 or 96 can help reduce file sizes and load times too, and reducing the sample rate on audio to 32 or even 22 in some cases can drastically reduce file sizes. Under advanced change the Reference Frames to 4 instead of the default 2 also. Using .mp4 output will be the most web andmobile friendly format too.

      Just a couple of suggestions that might help...
