My first site is alive and kicking

I'm not very familiar with Pinterest marketing but 900 followers sounds like a whole lot. Congratulations! And specifically congratulations on the offer for advertising/affiliate/product review!

Did you write all of those articles yourself and/or are they completely unique content? If so, that's great and exactly what you need to have on a site like yours!

At first I was going to recommend some graphical look and style enhancements but since things are going well for you already you might want to just keep things like they are, see how they work out, and adjust as you feel changes are needed. Continue to add great, unique content under each category as well.

For your opt-in "subscribe" you may want to make it a stronger call to action - something that is a little more catchy and makes the user feel like they might lose out if they don't opt in. For instance, maybe something like "Subscribe to our Newsletter so you NEVER miss any of our amazing new content!"

About the background: well, I wanted to use some instantly recognizable background since this is glen plaid, common pattern in men's suits. I don't think it's terrible. I accept the opinion that it can be too much for the eyes. I will test the version with gradient from plaid to some dark gray.

Yes, favicon is something I have to add. Forgot about it.
About "I" or "We". This is something I cannot decide. Should I write as a one man band or should I write as a team.

clean and simple. Setup is good. Might want to add some SEO down the line but if you are going good with social media then stick with it.

Yes, I think I will have to do something about the header/logo. It's made out of Google fonts but for some reason they do not load each time on every different browsers on different operating systems. Safest thing would be to make an image out of it. I agree.
This will be my first thing to do tomorrow.

I use local Croatian hosting. I opted for this local service because they are great, they were recommended to me by my web guru friends and I can call them on phone and sort any problems out very quickly instead to email some guy in US and wait for his answer.

But I also use some caching plugin that speeds up the loading times.

Yes, articles are mine. No copy pasting Some are researched from other sites but I have written the articles.

Well since some of you and my other friends mentioned that background is a bit too hard I have removed it from the body part. Left it only in the header and footer.

Now it looks cleaner. It does not hurt the eyes like before.
Still have to work a bit about the header logo.
