Thoughts on ClickBank Commissions

This is my client's product we are going to offer on ClickBank.
www.lawfit.com
It's a self-assessment test aimed at young people entering into the legal profession.
It retails for $95 (price was reduced to $63 recently). So we want to offer it on ClickBank, and what I need is a suggestion for a good affiliate percentage to offer so that it gets a lot of activity.
My concern is that the product is very niche and may not attract much activity.

Thanks

The more commission you can afford to pay on the front-end product the better. If you can pay 75% do it, otherwise 50% is good. You can always start low and raise it if you don't gain any traction. However, lowing your commissions after you already have affiliates promoting your product could create issues.

It's certainly an interesting product given I'm a lawyer (not practicing). I wonder if any career suggestions are internet-marketing based?? Yeah, I know, buy the product and take the assessment.

Despite my background, I'm not in the niche. I suspect sites that offer LSAT help/prep and law school application information websites may be able to help promote your product.

Ask any of the big LSAT prep companies if you can be offered as a cheap bonus or be promoted by them. They have access to tons of prospective lawyers.

There's also the niche of "career changes for lawyers" and I believe there are books and potentially websites you could target.

To answer your question, the higher the commission you can offer, the better. I think you'll need to seek out affiliates in this niche, but they are out there. CB permits up to 75% commission. If you're building an e-mail list of buyers, it's probably worth offering 75% commissions.

FYI, I think the "practice area" suggestion assessment is a good feature.

Well, the niche is very specific and the activity related to the promotion must be very targeted. your affiliate marketeer will be doing a hard job promoting this niche. I think the only way to accomplish your sales goal is by increasing the percentage of affiliate commission up to 66 %. Just test the water with this value and see what happen next.

At least 50%, as a lot of people do that, unless it's a very high ticket price.
    How well does this convert?

I'd go for 75%, get hordes of affiliates to promote it first if your cost to remain the site is minimal. Of course, if you are the monopoly, no one is doing such thing as well as there's a strong need for your product, 50% is just fine for your initial test.

    Leverage is the key here.
