Long sales letter vs Video sales letter if I dont master English toungue..

Hello everybody,

I'm helping a friend of mine to launch an infoproduct into the International market, and I need some advices
The infoproduct was launched 2 year ago in Italy, and it has produced a near-a-5-figure euros to the author, that is not bad as passive income
It's based on Ho oponopono, that is a self-help method to free your mind and soul from negative thoughts.
Now we want to launch it on the English (and Spanish) market, with the help of a strong affiliate program.
We already have the product both in English and Spanish language.
The problems come with the sales letter.
We have an Italian sales letter that I can translate in English, but I think it's not the smart way to promote it.
I prefer to make a video sales letter, based on images, audio and written sentences, to promote the product (and a small version to use in a squeeza page).
What do you think?
Do you know someone here able to make good videos?
Thank you so much for every response
Massimo

I will recommend to use video for the squeeze page.
    The conversion is better.

Video promotion is the new thing you see on many clickbank products nowadays. I would suggest outsourcing this!

Based on what?!?! is there anything really called hoopopopponoopono?

Regarding your question... if you don't dominate English, you want to create the overall outline of your copy (regardless of video or text), and then hire a native speaker to polish if off for you. You do not want to look unprofessional because of poor grammar.

Apparently not, but there's certainly something called "ho'oponopono": Ho

I agree completely. However you look at it, you're going to need someone whose first language is English, at some stage in the preparation!

Personally, I'd perhaps stay away from video for the sales page: http://www.warriorforum.com/off-topi...o-content.html

I think that the market research demonstrates that the consumers prefer video in terms of most split testing.

I don't believe this, myself, at all: call me a skepchick, but I think it's largely an urban myth that's regularly perpetuated and propagated because (i) marketers like video, and mistakenly imagine that what you say above is actually true, and (ii) large numbers of people with their own financial incentives for others to believe this keep reinforcing it, without it ever having been true in the first place.

I do hate those videos without controls and auto play. They piss me off, specially when I'm browsing Clickbank for some products to promote and I've a bunch of videos playing in the background doing a symphony. I eventually have to turn off then damn sound.

When I'm interested in a product, sometimes I just want to know if they have a specific feature or if they teach me how to do "XYZ" and with those kinds of sales letters I have to watch a 30 minute video that is only going to be live for TODAY, because the info being shared is so controversial that it might piss some people off...

Well you just pissed me off sir, I ain't watching your video!

  • Why not do an a/b test to see which one converts better? If you can afford to do both, why not? And to cut the cost, you can even use a portion of your long sales page as part of your script for the video.

But if it were, I definitely prefer to do a video sales page.

And yes, you would need to outsource the sales page (both the video and the written page) to someone who can write and speak English fluently =)

I would probably go for video myself and have a voiceover done in English.
There are no hard and fast rules for video or not, but in your case it may work better.

You should make the sales videos and have the sales letter at the bottom. Most sales pages i see now adays have the same setup.Think its working out for them to increase conversions. You can probley get someone to translate your sales page on fiverr. For just $5.

Ok, thank you so much for all the replies
So, I think I'll translate the sales letter and then make a video..
And yes, I'll use someone with a better E. than me
    I'll keep you informed...

ps: into the Ho oponopono there's a man whose name is Joe Vitale...

Video only would be a massive mistake. There are LOTS of people who won't open videos at all. You need both.

Take a look at this thread from the Off Topic forum if anyone thinks people are in love with video:
