Which domain name would YOU choose?

Hello,

I'm planning to open cellulite related blog/product, but I need your help choosing the domain.

Here is the list I have put together:

OvercomeCellulite.com
DeleteCellulite.com
BeatCellulite.net
CrushCellulite.net
EraseCellulite.net

Which one would you choose? Furthermore, if you have any better ideas, just let me know

Thanks!

      None of these.

I would want cellulite to be the first word in the domain-name: I'd be looking at things like "celluliteremedy", "cellulitesolution", "cellulitetreatment", "cellulitebanished", "cellulitereality", "celluliteinfo", "cellulitenews", "cellulite-no-more", "cellulite-fixed-up", "cellulitemelted" and "cellulitewhatever".

You asked a great question my friend.
The name does matter. It's like this though...

Keep your reader in mind first and search engine
            second.

            Why you may ask...

Well, if you've been around this Internet Marketing thing
for some time, you would know that the search engines
are skeptical about marketers just throwing up a domain
for the simple purposes of ranking it, "EXACTLY."

This doesn't mean, nor am I saying that, domains
with the targeted keyword in it doesn't work.

None of us really know the search engines algy.
However, I would say we can get to know our targeted
            customer, subscriber, visitor better.

That starts with creating a domain name that speaks
            to them.

            The domain name could have:
            1. A benefit in it (because a person who cellulite issues is looking
            for a solution)
            2. Something that gets them curious and puts the fire under the ass
            to move.
            3. A brand name like - thecellulitefactor

Chime in folks... Something pulled me away from writing more but I shall followup to comments.

TS, what keywords are you trying to rank ? As this URL may affect your ranking. You can have less than 25% of the keywords in the URL.

I'm not trying to rank anything.. I'm planning to create cellulite related product, but only monetizing it through PPC.

You can't. But that's pretty "catchy" imo, when it comes to products..

    NONE of the above.

Use Google Keyword Tool to help you decide.

I've done it for you here

    Overcome Cellulite - EGMS: 0
    Delete Cellulite - EGMS: 0
    Beat Cellulite - EGMS: 46
    Crush Cellulite - EGMS: 0
    Erase Cellulite - EGMS: 16

(EGMS = EXACT global monthly searches - by using the exact match you'll always see the worst-case scenario)

As you can see from the above, NONE of those are particularly attractive.

If you're going for an exact match domain (which is what it looks like you want to do), go for something which at least has a huge monthly search traffic volume. For example:

    Cellulitis - EGMS: 201,000
    Cellulite - EGMS: 110,000
    Cellulite Treatment - EGMS: 12,100
    Cellulitis Treatment - EGMS: 8,100
    Anti Cellulite - EGMS: 5,400

    and so on.

Then, look for .COM domains ideally, or failing that, .NET or .ORG. Also, you can stick to .COM if you're willing to add a suffix (in case the domain is taken). For example "cellulitis101.com" or "cellulite123.com" or even "cellulitetreatmentx.com"

    Hope this helps

Do I have to choose one? Don't really like any, they don't sound particularly catchy, like a brand name, and I can't imagine that they would offer much of an SEO boost either.

You're not thinking like a marketer, and trying to imagine what your customers would be looking for.

I would recommend staying away from the keyword in the domain name, exact match and partial match domains can easily be penalized by Google.

You should also be wary of posting domain names you wish to buy for the obvious reason that someone else might pick them up

This is absolute nonsense - where do people get this stuff from?

All that's happened in this regard is that Google has taken away from thin, poor-quality EMD sites the artificial advantage that they formerly had just from being EMD's. There was, and is, absolutely no suggestion at all of their being "penalized" by Google, and you're simply spreading misinformation, here.

Agreed. It is best to get an emd with your main keyword first in the domain name. Whether your ppc or not it still is best for seo purposes

They are only penalized if you have a feeble or spammy website.

Just about every website on the internet has some exact match or keyword terms - Google isn't going to punish everyone.

Just make sure you have a number of pages & quality original content.

Do some domain name value research and you will find that developed domains that start with "cellulite" are valued higher than domain names that end with "cellulite".

You said you are are only going to use PPC. In that case I would not be too concerned with SEO, but a little bit does not hurt. A little SEO can attract advertisers and possible joint venture partners.

I like the last one. EraseCellulite.net is my favorite one. Problem is that I prefer dot com domain names. First one is OK, but it it still available now? Try to get one that your can register as your own BRAND name. Still, this niche is over crowded and I see a bumpy road ahead for you.
