First bid on my auction list

18 replies
Hi Warriors,

3 days before I put my first ever flippa auction listing and today I got the first bid. I am really glad because, I took action and it seems, it is working.

The listing I put after buying WSO from Mark and after watching the video and gone through with the product, I got extremely motivated and took the action. I think that is the important part. I am not a newbie for making money online, but this action is towards my goal of making a new stream of income, which you can say almost 60% auto pilot.

First I want thanks to God, which I am a big believer.
Then I want to thanks Mark for a great WSO, which makes me to take action.
Then of course in the last Warrior forum for making all these things happen.

I am posting here in hope to inspire and encourage others.

Cheers
Amer

    Gratz!

    (Hate to see the look on your face when the guy happens to be a non-paying bidder. Happened to me several times...)

    Tell me one thing, how is it help when you have some list watchers on the auction. Are they ever going to bid on the my auction listing? Just wondering is it helpful or no.

      People wait to see where the price is at before making a bid.

      For future reference, you probably shouldn't have a reserve on your site if the first line says "No Reserve Price!"

    congrats mate, i still remember how I sell my poor website in flippa for $110, and then one year later the worth is up by 10 times. still regret the decision I made until today. Anyway, if you already have the buyer, you should check them whether they are really want to buy or just want to give you false hope. It happens a lot in flippa.

      Thanks mate, for your encouragement and suggestion, I am sorry for your website loss.
      Yes you are right about the false hope. That is why I am little curious.
      But for me it is a small success for my first small step towards creating a living through internet.

      Wish me luck please.

    Watchers =/= Bids.

    I'd say that only 20% of watchers are potential bidders. I've had stuff that had 15+ watchers and still no bids. Most them are just curious about you site's "destiny", they aren't bidders to begin with, they just wanna know if it sells or not, and if it does, for how much. And it's annoying as hell. Matter of fact, it's so annoying, I'm ripping my hair off as I'm typing this comment:@

      You are lucky still you can rip your hair off. lol . I don't have that luck with me. But your comments keep me inspired. That told to myself, so what???

      I am happy and motivated for the first bidder 5 list watcher. At least people are showing interest in it. That is too much for me. I had saw on flippa lot of auctions end without any single bid.

      But you admit that at least 20% will be potential bidders, out of five one will be the bidder with potential to buy this site. Thanks for giving a hope.

      I am having a big dream but I am satisfy with small success. Lol

    Can I ask 2 questions please?

    1- Is your site an autopilot site?
    2- How much will it have cost you if there are no buyers at the end? Is it $29?

    Hope that you will sell it for a good profit anyhow

    Hey Amer,

    Congratulations for your first bid Taking action is definitely one of the most important thing in your IM journey. I am also a successful Flippa seller and have earned thousands of dollars flipping brand new sites.

    Based on my experience, here are some of my personal tips (that can be useful for your next auctions):

    1) Have a nice design (a good design is always attracting bidders);

    2) If you can generate couple of sales, it will add a lot of value to your site;

    3) Write a nice listing description. You need to be honest, transparent (I usually give my skype / email address) and show to potential buyers why your site would be great for them. They need to picture themselves making money with it.

    5) At the end of your listing, you can add that you are also available for custom projects (and give your Skype / email address). This is helping me to generate a lot more sales.

    4) Start your listing at $1. This will help you to get more activity on it and, why not, get your auction displayed in the "Most Active" section. Reserve price can be whatever you want

    5) Make sure that your listing will end on Sunday evening (more buyers during the weekend)

    7) During the last day, I usually purchase the $50 upgrade to display my site on the Homepage (I wasn't doing it in my first 3 auctions but it definitely helps a lot to get more bidders).

    Don't worry if you only have one bid. Potential buyers usually wait for the last hour/minutes to bid. Moreover, this first sale will allow you to get your first feedback (which will be really useful for your next auctions). So try to do your best to get a positive one

    Keep up the great work!

    Ben

      Excellent tips!!!! 10/10!!!

      Wow! I am really appreciate and I don't l know how many time I need to thank you.

      I had noted all of your tips for the next auction listing. That is what I am talking about Warriors.

      Believe me, I am not doing all of the above except the tip no5, My bidding will end today evening, still it is not same as mention tip, but close to it, instead of Sunday evening it is Saturday evening.

      Ok! About the two sales -- tip no.2, I need to work on this a lot. Cause I know theoretically everything about cb, amazon products marketing, traffic generation. But I never tried hard for affiliate marketing. Really need to focus on it.

      Now, Today is my last day of auction listing, as per your tip no.7, I like the idea, which is still in my reach. So, I am thinking to take the advantage of it.

      Thanks a lot.
