Is it me just me with copywriting?

Is it me or are any of you annoyed with all the audio and video in the middle of sales pages? Personally, I appreciate reading well written copy rather than being interrupted by all the audio and video. If most people are like me, they are not always in a place to play audio or video, i.e. work, but can read the copy. Is there any evidence that all this audio visual converts better?

I personally hate videos but having only one good eye I find it easier to read and reread than trying to absorb a video. But everyone has their own opinion and they do what works for them.

The worst ones for me is when they give you no controls to fast forward or rewind the video.

A good salespage will provide both a video sales message and text. That way they have covered both bases. A lot of people are reading this stuff in public places nowadays so having auto play videos/audios are a no no anymore. It will just annoy people and have them close your page.

I agree!...kind of annoying when you can't pause or fast forward the video

I always get a kick out of posters complaining they are having a hard time ripping off their employers.

True these videos with no controls are irritating, and WillR is dead on, all sales pages should have the option. Another thing that kills me about these videos that offer 'no control' is many of us know better than to optin or buy for the first price offered, thus, we click out (*as many times as possible, lol) until we reach a bearable price point and then make the purchase.

Problem with doing this; with these 'no controls' videos is... you have to mute your computer, and let the video play through to the end, wait for the 'magic' buy button to appear, then go through the whole 'exit pop' (No Wait! - Click to stay on this page...) scenario before getting your product for rock bottom prices, lol.

I rarely ever buy any of these products. However, I have learned rather quickly how to check the sellers 'seasoned offers' before I do.

Tell ya the truth, it amazes me when they don't have a 'discounted offer' as that to me symbolizes a higher integrity, and generally indicates they 'know' their product is solid!

    Test it.

Your audience is not my audience. Sell to yours, not to mine.
