Getting email subscribers in the gaming niche

Hi Warriors,

I started a gaming niche site that I am looking to get going quickly.

I have a blog that I am starting and writing a blog post every Tuesday and Friday to gain traction from google for seo along with building links. I am also trying google adwords and facebook ads to lead them to my squeeze page to capture emails, giving them free tips in exchange. But it feels as if I am spending a fortune, which I am not intending on doing.

What do you think is the best way for me to get 10,000 targeted email subscribers in a 6 month period?

Thank you for all of your feedback in advance.

Start making Youtube Videos ASAP. Give a lot of valuable content and build up views, and link that to your website where players can subscribe. This is probably the best way to go about it.

We are opening a comic book/collectible store in the near future and also looking to network with others. You are welcome to PM your website if you like.

    All the best.

I say you try advertising on mochi media. You can start with small $100 budget. I say try them cause their self-serve and have multiple ad units to advertise right to gamers. Send me a link to your squeeze page and i can give you some tips how to better advertise your squeeze page and how to make a nicely monitized backend (you should have one already tho:p). Just let me kno.

As a gamer who also has a great deal of success in the
gaming niche, I absolutely recommend Youtube how-to
videos (Please, no annoying people speaking the entire
time about stupid things... Nobody likes those, and you're
not as funny as you think you are!) Speak in a low, quiet (but enthusiastic!)
voice and remember, often times less is more... Say as
little as you can get away with, show 60% speak 40%.

I also very strongly recommend mochi media-- They have
a very loyal fan base because they are very easy to use,
flexible, and have great service for both gamers and
        game marketers.

Also, there are not very many companies that I speak
out against, because I know that everyone has a bad
experience from time to time. However, there are times
when a company gives terrible service and rather than
attempting to correct mistakes, goes out of their way
to be rude and make them worse. I very strongly recommend
that you avoid anything to do with PlayPickle.

As a gamer myself, I would like to give my email to a site that can give me game strategy, game fun fact, game-based funny picture, games offers, game review, game playing experience, game cheat, popular people with gaming hobby, game general news, etc. If you can't do this, I will be satisfied if you can just provide me with game review, and if you want more specific, limit yourself for a certain console only.

I don't know whether it is helpful or not, it is only my opinion as a gamer.

I've made most of my money online from MMORPGs.

        Start making Youtube Videos ASAP.
        This is excellent advice.

I personally made most of my money from YT and SEO. Depending on the game and the products you are promoting, it can be tough.

Gamers are a snarly lot to deal with.

        Good luck!

This is the #1 place you should be focusing on for gaming niche.

Secondly, I've seen your sales page from a previous thread, and I would strongly urge you to take your adwords/FB ad campaign funds and hire a copy writer from this forum and get your copy on the sales/landing pages professionally written. No offense intended, but I would strongly urge you to follow this advice.

Here is another tip: use popular games (read: World of Warcraft) that have more products in the marketplace, study and copy their best practices for opt-ins.

      Best regards!

I have friends who have great success creating leads for online gaming using rich media based mobile marketing. Definitely not free but the CPA clearly works for them.

    Cheers,

Being an EX competitive gamer, I think there is a massive market in the competitive section of gaming "esports" as its often referred to. These players I would say are easier to engage with than your standard gamer. They live, breath and eat gaming.

And they love to hang around forums.

I would personally check out these forums for marketing your site:
