I see alot of services offered that say they will write "unique" articles for your site so it appears as original content. surely these people cant be writing like a million articles per day. what are the ways that you can check an article to make sure that it is genuine and original?

I also hear the term "spun" alot not sure what that means? is there software that these people use to take an already written article and just reword it?? seems like this might be an issue at some point with google. any info is appreciated, cheers!

Yeah, spinning is taking an article, and I think what they do to it is translate it to some other language, translate back, translate again, then again lol and it comes out retarded and you have to fix it....and it's all a crock of time wasting if you ask me....You'll have far better results if you just really make some good content.

I don't just do this on the regular, but I was literally just thinking about the fact that I'm a decent writer and could offer my services...if you need some unique articles written and don't want to do it yourself maybe I can help? Shoot me a PM

You can use Copyscape or any of the other copy checkers to see if your article is already published online.

    - not sure why you think people are claiming to" be writing like a million articles per day..."

People who advertise "unique" articles that appear as original content (but don't say anything about actually writing the articles) are actually stealing an article on the required topic and then adding certain codes in the text that Google sees but visitors do not.

It's pure garbage, not to mention dishonest.

To ensure an article is genuine and original, don't buy from these sellers. Look for a seller who talks about "writing" and explains why they are a qualified writer. Once you have the article you can run it through Copyscape OR take individual sentences from the article and do a search in Google for those sentences.

        This.

And be very wary of writers who are continually and actively advertising for new clients. They're not keeping their clients, and (to put it mildly) you don't need to be Einstein to see that that's not a very good sign!

In all the time that I was working as an article-writer (I say "all the time", but it wasn't actually that long, to be honest ), no question of "originality" or "uniqueness" was ever once raised by anyone: I never once mentioned "Copyscape" and neither did any of my customers.

I really do sometimes wonder about writers who seem to feel that it's necessary, on their own sales websites, to mention that their output is "guaranteed to pass Copyscape": it makes me wonder what sort of customers they're working for, for whom that apparently has to be specified. It reminds me of a certain class of "business opportunity" one sometimes sees promoted, whose website explains in detail that "This is not a scam!": if they actually need to specify that, what does that really tell you about their outlook, and about the people at whom the site's aimed!?

Yes - it's absolutely nonsensical, of course. These things are all based on misunderstandings about "content", "article marketing" and so on: the only beneficiaries of spinning are the marketers promoting "spinning software"/"services". You can read about "spinning" in this post: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7651906

          Exactly, Alexa!

I too have wondered why "guaranteed to pass Copyscape" is listed as a benefit of hiring the writer?

I mean, who as a professional business minded person while searching for a qualified writer for their business even thinks that? It seems to me that doing your due diligence while seeking one would aptly cover that.

Perhaps it just speaks of the caliber of writer advertising? That's what immediately comes to mind when I read that, er, qualification listed, anyway.

So true - and a point that seems to escape most people.

If you are a good writer - you don't have to keep beating the bushes for work every week. You attract long term clients who keep sending you their work.

"unique" articles for your site so it appears as original content.
A unique article is original content. Not the same as "unique so it appears to be original content". One is good - the other isn't.

Copyscape premium is what you want - will cost you 5 cents to check an article and well worth it.

Spinning an article dont works good in long term so it is always better to write an original article for each submission. You can use copyscape to check the originality of the content.
    Thanks

It's a huge red flag when somebody mentions that content has passed copyscape.

Because imagine you're sitting down and writing an article from scratch, RATHER THAN editing one that already exists and trying to pass it off as unique, has your instinct EVER been to run it through copy scape to see if it's plagiarized? Of course not, because you just write it from scratch, all by yourself.

That's a screaming red flag to me, since if somebody finished an article and their first though is "Alright, now time to check if this will pass copyscape or not...", it makes me VERY weary of the source of that content.

I've done a lot of content writing for clients, as well, and I've never pushed anything through copyscape, why would I have to?! Nor have I ever had the issue come up from any clients, because I have a good reputation as somebody who writes great, and unique, content. (Not to toot my own horn.. Okay, maybe just a little bit.)
