Huge Namecheap Promo Code - $5.99 Domains

A friend alerted me to an unheard-of (to me at least) discount code for Namecheap to buy domains for $5.99.

The discount code is Buythedomain and only applies to new registrations of com/net/org/info/biz/mobi.

I just now used the code to buy 10 domains @ $5.99 each. I tried to buy 12 domains, but the discount was only applied to the first 10 in the list, so I removed the other 2 from the cart. I may try again tomorrow to buy the other 2 domains, just in case the limit is 10 per day. I have no idea if that is the case. It may be just 10 total, period.

I also have no idea how long this promo code is good, so get 'em while you can.

Just google godaddy promo codes. there is always one coupon. they range from 1 dollar domains (rare) to 4 dollar domains (the usual). But you can only get 3 domains per promo code usually. Still, these offers are always there.

OK...this coupon the OP listed "Buythedomain" is still working as of 2 minutes ago! (Without the quote marks.)

Wow. Unfortunately, I want a couple of .co's and it's only good for .com, .net, .org, .biz, or .mobi

But at this price I can't complain! Looks like I will pick up a couple I wasn't originally looking for that are good names.

the problem with these other domain companies is you don't really know how reliable they are. However with ones like godaddy and namecheap you know they're reputable. That's an awesome coupon code though. Thanks for this. Now I don't have to spend $10 or more for a domain.

I have been comparing the freebees between Godaddy and Namecheap. Namecheaap offers
free whoisguard privacy protection with every domain and then it is only $2.88/yr and Godaddy charges $10/yr. Should this be a deal breaker or is there a workaround on protecting the whois info? If I can save $4 on each domain with Godaddy on promo and I am looking at buying 8-10 domains this is a nice savings but if I don't want my info for the world to see then I will spend more using Godaddy. Thoughts anyone?

Btw a big thanks to all who have offered up these promo codes.

I always use namecheap as they allow me to protect my info with whoisguard privacy protection if I need.

I would only use godaddy if I feel particularly lazy one day when I buy a domain that I want masking... Godaddy makes the process really easy, quick and efficient.

Brilliant. I found out about this code while reading the "cloudlivingjourney.com" blog. He mentions the code, and I wondered if other marketers had heard of it. I certainly never had.

Yeah, but you have to pay for an extra year of domain registration. So you still pay at least $8 (and that's with a coupon). Regularly it's near $10 for a transfer.

Perhaps this is good to get 2 years for the price of one, but for me it's just not worth the hassle. Although some Warriors tight on funds may enjoy this.

godaddys marketing ( to their existing customers) is annoying and keeps me from using them.

I have never noticed any problems with domains from namecheap.

      Since when?
Namecheap has some of the best hosted DNS available. Even better than some pay services.

Odds are, domain propagation issues are with your TTL DNS settings, not the DNS servers.
