Blog Submission Sites

Thank you to all the kind Warriors who are so willing to help newbies.

I've learned a lot just in a few days that I didn't even know there was to know! I've explored outward from many recommendations here and perused the various topics and have come across the concept of blog submission/promotion websites.

Now I know what those little "Technorati" buttons on people's blogs are.

There are so very many of them, though, and I find articles recommending various ones. I was curious as to what the forum members here think.

Did you find that some of these sites brought you more visitors than others? Were some easier to use? Do some have a "don't bother with this one" flavor?

What would be the top three you'd recommend a new blog owner to start with?

My absolute #1 would be a digg it button, search engines love digg, stumble is good too if you have a stumble worthy site and can somehow get enough stumbles. Hope that helps.

Ah, the information about Digg is in the list of articles I had bookmarked to read today. How did you know? Thank you!

Technorati is like a ranking system of who is getting the most faved in the blogosphere. It is something you get along if you have loyal readers. I would say not to worry much about technorati and promote your site with backlinks.

I spent some time looking around Digg yesterday and I see why everyone recommends it. I'll be looking up "link farms" -- I've heard the term but am not sure what it means. Thanks Danny!
