Hi folks,

I have the WP Sitemap plugin activated on my site.
I don't quite understand sitemaps and what the difference is between this one and the Google XML sitemap I have installed. Someone installed these for me.

My question... the WP Sitemap was showing up as a link in my menu. I didn't like that so I took it off the menu. Is it still doing anything useful? If not, is there somewhere else to put it?

Thanks,
Dr. Nicki

How exactly are you doing it?

I put mine in the footer but it seems a round about way. I used the pages widget and excluded all the other pages except for sitemap. But it forces me to have a title so it's kind of redundant... sitemap... sitemap.

      What are you using?

      Thanks

I use the plugin Google XML Sitemaps, which allows Google easy access.

I think that some people all use a sitemap, as in one that is an HTML page, but for humans, whereas XML Sitemap is for computers.

If you don't want a map of your site for humans to read, just use Google XML Sitemap plugin, and you're good to go.
