I have a questin: whenyou are using click bank and yu ar loking fora product to promote, where it says gravity would te prduct be better to promote if its a high gravty number or a low gravit number. For example if a product has a gravity of 58.92 and someone else is selling the same product and it has a gravity of 197.21, which would be the better product to promote?

Here's an ezine article that I found that covers the pro and cons of gravity on click bank. I hope you find it helpful.

    What is Gravity on Clickbank?

I would say that promoting a product with high gravity like 197.21 with be a sure bet because it has proven to be a great selling product. On the other hand, high gravity products have lots of competition and it is harder to sale.

Sometimes it is better to promote a product of 58.92 because there is less competition and 58 is still proof that the product is of good quality and customers like it.

So, i would say to go with products with lower gravity as long as the salescopy is well designed and looks good.

With the above gravity stats, I think its safe to assume that the niche itself is profitable.

The product you chose to promote could depend on the keywords you choose to target.

Apparently it would be hard to rank for, or, expensive to bid on the product name or author name as your keyword for the higher gravity product because it has already proven to be a winner.

      Here is my opinion:

Since both products have a gravity over 30 then they are both proven to sell. The one with 197 just means that there are more affiliates promoting and making sales.

If both products are of good quality then it would just be a matter of personal preference for you to chose one. The fact of the matter is if someone has a problem and the product you chose will solve the problem then you will make sales. You just need to position yourself properly and make a good presell.

Conclusion: If you chose either of the two products but market it poorly then you will make very few sales. However if you are a good marketer and do a good presell then your problem is solved.

      Hope that helps

It depends. High gravity proves that the product sells, but interestingly a product with an extremely high gravity is not always the best thing to promote because it usually also means that there is ALOT of competition out there promoting that product already.

that product which fits into your niche

just ignore the gravity, it just shows how many affiliates are working with it and does not say anything about conversion etc....

...and since it is no secret, a short look at cb-analytics.com would be helpful

just enter the CB-code of your product and watch the results to get more info about it...

but anyway, are you trusting CB? since we had a few issues with their reporting, we promote less ...

    cheers,

Agreed. The higher gravity probably has a better landing page --- the sales copy is probably more compelling. Having more competition is the downside, but there is where you need to do your keyword research and see how many people you are competing with on a particular long tail key word.
