Best way to publish your article?

Hi everyone

I enjoy writing and am going to write some articles to use for search engine positioning and driving traffic.

The question I have is one I have had for a long time and has had differing answers from different people.

When I write a unique article, what is the best way to utilize that fresh
content?

In the past I have submitted it to ezinearticles as they do appear to be the most powerful, but what then?

Are any of the programs (paid or other) worth using to submit my articles to different directories and is this a good idea?

And just one more thing....I have previously been told that I shouldnt have that same article on my web page for doubling up on content, is this right?

Thanks guys, there was some great article threads on here I was reading the other week but I cant seem to find them.

    here is what I do with a fresh article...

    1. Post on my own site, wait three days.
    2. Post to ezine articles
    3. Post to Article Marketer

      With your #3 is that articlemarketer dot com? Do you use the paid quarterly version?
      Does that program put it onto sites like go articles etc.?

    Justin,

    I usually rewrite the article a little bit before submitting to article directories. It takes very little time to make a few changes, and that way no matter who picks it up from an article directory or how often it's republished, the one on your site is always unique.

    Plus, you never know exactly how the search engines will rank any given article. A few changes could make a difference you can learn from.

    Sending your articles to EzineArticles.com is the best way to get free targeted traffic to your site. You just need to write lots of articles, like 100's of them and you will see results.

    I have used Articlemarketer,com and UniqueArticleWizard.com to submit articles to 1000's of directories and webmaster sites. These 2 are good to build backlinks to your sites for SEO purposes but as for sending actual traffic to your site they are not the best method because they submit your articles to site with very low traffic.

    Now, I basically just use EzineArticles.com and buzzle.com

    Ezine is almost best way to get targetted traffic , you can also use autosubmitters.
    It will be better if you put up a link in your signature about your blog which are full of unique content.

    Ezine Articles is the best website for article submission.
    There is also YourArticleAutomation which allows you
    to integrate your blog into an existing community
    and it will republish your article to ALOT of
    different sites.
    But that way your blog will not be unique since people will
    publish on it to. That is for you to decide.

    I do it a little different...

    1. Submit original article to EZA
    2. Once EZA has published I change the title (keyword-researched) and post on my site.
    3. Change the title again, and submit to directories (automatic article submitter software)
    4. Rewrite (spin) the article and submit it to Associated Content... they pay for content, and you can get a few bucks for your work.

    As pointed out, make sure EZine gets the article first, and wait until you have confirmation that it has been published. Then you can change out the first paragraph and submit to other markets. I still like GoArticles. Squidoo gets good ranking in Google but I, for one, am not a huge Squidoo fan.

    Make certain you link your article to your blog, and your blog to your article.
