You are doing all the right things...

Here is what you do.. Tier Link Building

Website--->Tier 1--->Tier 2---->Tier 3

Thats the format above.. Tier one consists of Article Directories, Videos, etc.
Tier 2 consists of Articles, blog comments, Social networks,
Tier 3 consists of spamming links, etc..

Thats just the basic..search tier link building in Google for more information on it

I guarantee this give you a push in the serps and also helps bring more traffic..

How about guest posting in your niche area? Forum marketing? They don't bring in instant traffic but rather gradually. My Ezine articles from 3 years ago still bring in small but quality traffic that converts well.

You might also want to go for social marketing using popular social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest.

have you tried solo ads? it is a way to promote your site by sending an email to someone's list. if you have confidence in your product, ready to make sales, and already find the right solo ads, you will get a good targeted traffic very fast. the cost is depend on the negotiation you had with the list owner. some niche is depend on the targeted list, so if your niche is also depend on the targeted traffic, you should try it.

Have never tried solo ads, how do you recommend I find a person that I can get solo ads from, or a website even?

I used to have a very little traffic last year, until I change my game plan with tumblr. some people might think tumblr is just a site where we can see a stranger breakfast. but I tried to use common sense rather than blinded with prejudice. so here is what I do with tumblr:
1. I make a tumblr account, special for promoting Amazon product
2. I post a quality image that interest tumblr user, and tag it properly, the more detailed the better. post a picture that target a group of people that relevant with your product.
3. I don't follow anyone, so my follower will only read my post.
4. I use cross link plugins that let people click a link to my other wordpress blog (you can change it with your website.)
5. profit, you will get free targeted traffic

I have an alexa top 100,000 site with about 700 visitors a day, what you need to do is setup traffic systems that run for you, and you need more than just 1 or 2.

You need to become a maser student of of traffic, do your research buy some traffic courses and systematically learn and set them up.

Run tracking to see which traffic methods work best for you, base them off of traffic numbers and conversion rates.

When you come across a new traffic method bust ass and give it a good chance to run. Don't just determine it ineffective after a half ass approach.

40-60 unique a day isn't bad actually, if you can work on improving your conversion rate you can get more money in.

One of the things that work for me is to do research in Google keywords, search for long-tail keywords that have between 500-2,000 local searches,low competition and are relevant to your website. Then simply copy and paste those keywords into Google searches and see how many results come back the lower the better as less potential competition. Once you create your article link to it from Facebook,twitter and a few other social networks that you might have, in my experience with all the websites that I have created this method has worked for me the best ! There are many ways... But if you have hit a brick wall getting more traffic to that site then build another site. 50 uniques a day is nothing to scoff at, just build 100 more sites, one or more is likely to catch fire. You don't have to buy multiple domains, just do sub domains. Traffic Traffic Traffic... Once you have several hundred sites all getting 50 hits a day then you can open a new site and put a link to it on top of the 100 sites your have. The new site will instantly be indexed and begin to get traffic, rinse and repeat.

Disclaimer, I very well might not know what the heck I'm talking about, it is late at night in my neck of the woods....

Don't get so hung up on Google page 1.
Chances are it won't stay there very long.
Concentrate on other traffic methods like YouTube and doc sharing sites.

There are honestly hundreds of ways to build traffic in which some have already been mentioned in this thread.

I highly recommend you focus on one traffic building strategy first, master it, then move on to the next.

Long term look at SEO but for quick traffic find some places to leave comments, forums, and guest post son high traffic blogs related to your niche. This will help get quick traffic.
