INTERNET MARKETING

Man its been a good week. I built a website about 2 weeks ago for one of the trades I do in construction. There were around 250,000 sites for my keywords. I ranked on first page within a week and have gotten 6 calls and 4 jobs that total over 1600 for the week. Its funny because its the smallest service I provide and now I am contemplating hiring an employee to assist doing it. Everything I learned(albeit it a very simple website) has been by you guys and for that I thank you.

  This is 'normal' behaviour for a new site.
  
  The first 3-6 weeks are what is known as the honeymoon period when Google gives you extra love while it works out where the site truly belongs.
  
  After this period the rankings will drop/disappear from existence entirely.
  
  After a few weeks it will pop back in the position it should be at.

For some reason google liked the website. I tried to get the keywords in as many times as I could while still looking informative and added backlinks from 2 websites that I own that rank #1 and #3 for their keywords. Also very low competition with less than 250K sites. Does get over 1000 searches a month though for my area.

its been a good week, have a 500 dollar job set up for tomorrow and 200 for Wednesday so this next week is looking like it will match or be better. The unfortunate thing is like I said earlier is its the smallest service I provide and I cant spend time on marketing those other services as I am working all day and weekends now. I don't mean to sound like I am boasting but I am very happy right now.

congratulation mate! maybe google is looking for a fresh new site for their first page rank. You did a good job getting a backlink from good ranked site. And I am sure your site did nothing except adding value and informative article for your visitor. That is why the panda like your site.
