INTERNET MARKETING

Seeing I have a tendency to pull my hair out over things that don't make sense (not literally) I noticed a newer blog of mine is getting a ton of search traffic, great right? It would be great if I could see the keyword

58 searches for (not provided), is it an analytics snafu or do they truly have no idea what was typed to find my site which wouldn't make sense.

Sorry for the basic question, but the small stuff gets to me and I've yet to get an intelligent answer.

James,

I have heard a variety of reasons for why the not set value appears. Per google’s help page, it is because there is some kind of identifying information (in your case keyword information) that is not associated with the visit. This could be because of incorrect tagging of URL’s, direct visits, and I have also heard that it is because users are logged into Google.

The (not provide) keywords is the result of keyword encryption made by Google to protect the privacy of Logged in Google users. So if you are logged in with your Google account, search any term in Google, and visit a website. The website owner will not know which keywords you used since it wil be (not provide)

Just go to your cPanel and look at the keywords in your Awstats analytics.
