How long is a piece of string? No way to give you an average because there are to many variables which are unknown.

There is no way to tell, it could be a useless million for all we know. People can kill a million fan page over night by promoting stuff they don't need.

Know your niche, build your fans base, and post relevant posts, promote stuff that will help them in what they are interested in..

Come back here with stats in some time..

That's not the point at all, the point is, you won't know until you actually test it out for yourself. It could turn out good, or a complete failure, you could end up killing such a big fan page, to many factors come into play

Quite a lot of these fanpages based around silly things are very hard to monetize.

The fans are so diverse and the moment you start trying to monetize them, you'll start getting a lot of people reporting the posts as spam and soon enough your admin rights will be stripped.

You are much better to concentrate on creating much smaller fanpages based around real passionate topics.

PPC links? That makes no sense, PPC is pay per click, as in, you pay per click, as in, you pay to get a click. Not sure about CPA, I see enough CPA offers on Facebook so maybe but that wasn't what Will was saying. He was saying you need to narrow down your groups so you can offer something specific to a specific audience, which would increase the chance of sales/optins.

    A LOT of money.

But I don't know what 'a lot' of money is to you ... it's all relative.

Assuming the fans are targeted within a 'proper' niche...

I highly recommend you check out Justin Lewis' story in the social marketing section of the forum.

He has had a ton of success with his Halo page

You know that each 1 subscriber / fan / like is considered to be worth it 136.38 $ by social media top experts. So a page with 1 million likes can make unlimited money.

The record that I know of, one of my friends monetised his 850,000 likes page to make about 90,000.00 USD monthly on average, quite easily

if you know a little bit about social media, it looks just a normal result:

each 1 facebook fan like is really worth it on average $136.38 USD ,
as most facebook and social media experts discovered:

136.38 $ value per each 1 facebook fan like is an average value.

Of course a small company has probably about 1000 likes, and it respresents indeed the small company's value: ~ 136,380 $
