How many clicks per day do you get?--display network

Hey im new to display network with google but surprised how challenging it is to get traffic from it.

Some of my campaigns are broad and not so targeted so i understand they will have a low CTR but im a firm believer it will pay off over time but right now my stats are a joke. My third day in they are

Today:
3,640 impressions
$1.40/click average
$4.20 spent today
3 clicks
0.08 CTR

1 Banner targeting 1 forum accounted for 2 of those clicks with 302 impressions at a 0.66 CTR so thats not so bad IMO 302 impressions to get 2 clicks but again.... the volume of clicks needed is just not there. The industry is far from niche so if i cant find clicks its me doing something wrong...

Do any of you just run campaigns based off of "topics" only or "interest" only. Currently im focusing on keywords for display banners to show up.

How many clicks per day are you guys seeing through display network with google?

How long is a piece of string?

The number of clicks others are getting is totally irrelevant to yours.

The number of clicks will be determined by how many targets you have (keywords or websites), how much traffic those targets get, how high you are bidding (if you are not the top bidder you won't get all the traffic), and your CTR.

All very true... but how can i get some perspective on what "good" numbers would be or a "good" click through rate would be?

Im new to all of this but ive learned two things in the last few days.

      1) You can be misleading in your ads, giving you a higher CTR but if they all bounce and you dont get any leads... its kind of useless and a waste of money but will make you feel better about yourself because of the clicks youll get.

      2) Scare off the window shoppers by putting your price in the ad so only serious people click or people willing to pay your price, so obviously this will lower your CTR but you may get more leads to clicks this way.

So i understand how rates can all vary, but i was asking impressions to clicks just trying to get a feel for it. I have heard breaking 1% is very good but wanted to hear some feedback from real life marketers.

I guess at the end of the day all that matters to a business is their Cost Per Acquisition whether thats a lead or a sale.

Today one of my campaigns had 20k impressions, with 9 clicks at a terrible 0.04 CTR. Thats with 1 "topic" layered with about 15 keywords. I dont know what im doing here lets just put that out there. 9 clicks, 0 leads. Not enough impressions, or too low of a CTR to make a judgement on what i need to do here?
