just happened to check on my gmail sttings this mornign..since I ws getting a duplicate on every email recd and sent.
seems someone , somehow, had invaded my account, set up my sig file to link back to another site ...
reported the site to gmail but wanted to warn any of you guys who use gmail to check on your sig file

    Bob, as soon as I read your message, I logged onto my gmail account and sent a test message to myself. It came back 100% exactly as I sent it, including my signature. So whatever happened is an issue with your account, not with all of gmail.

    I am not sure if this claim is legit or not. It can happen but from what I know, it is nearly impossible to hack someone's email address.

    I'm not so sure. I had a spambot invade my gmail account. It then sent a spam message to all addresses in my account.

    I've no idea how that happened.
