Need advice on selling penny stock service

A friend of mine launched a penny stock website. Basically he provides penny stock tips. There is a free subscription and a paid one which is a monthly charge. He's looking for advice on how to sell more subscriptions. I recommended some ideas, like setting up a squeeze page and auto-responder emails to monetize the audience but wanted to pick the brains of people on this forum.

This is in the very early stages but he already has a couple hundred free members and 4 paid subscribers ($60 a month each = $240 a month revenue right now). He acquired these followers with no ads, just by posting in other forums, etc

Appreciate any ideas!

Go to all the penny stock sites out there and open accounts. At Raging Bull you can open your own stock board for free. If his picks are good and he knows how to interact in that environment (very tough crowd in on the stock boards) he'll get people to join. He can promote all day long there and on other boards.

If he's offering a monthly subscription I'd recommend
offering affiliates a commission and then finding
recruiting a few 'big hitters' to boost his profits.

Create a killer video for YouTube highlighting 2 or 3 great picks in the past and then post an easy-to-remember web address in the video for the membership site where viewers can get more great picks.

Crank up the targeted views by paying for Adwords YouTube views (do YT keyword research first). $10 a day can get a lot of views and traffic.

Unless he's a registered investment advisor, stay away... he'll be investigated by FINRA and shut down for providing "investment advice". They are cracking down on promoters big time. The "this advice cannot be construed as advice" disclaimer doesn't hold up in ANY court.

Since I was in penny stocks for a long time before, I would offer a teaser pick.
If you can gain the confidence of a big established forum like silicon investor it would be huge, but they aren't a free forum, but they do have a microcap stock forum

No it does not. Unless you are certified to do so, you are in hot water.

So stop giving investment advice, but if you like that kind of work.... What does hold up in court is that video game makers are not responsible for people who apply the attributes of the game to real life.

So, if a video game maker is not responsible for murder and rape, how can they be responsible for investors who did not stay within the realm your message was intended.

Get our of securities and start a Stock Market Video Game / Strategy Simulator Site. Say hello to PennyStock-Profits.com/pspmarkets stock trading sim game, where everything is real but the money. As a bonus, it is fully self promoting once primed in that it promotes successes and achievements right to Twitter and Facebook on the account of the players, automatically.

So, let your tips fly and put some merit (and some supreme court rulings) behind your disclaimer with "for entertainment only". While we use only real life data from Yahoo Finance and all parameters are true to the real world, you should never assume that what is good in the game, is good in real life. That requires a state certified investment counselor. By using this software, this website or signing up for our emails or SMS Hot Buy Alerts, you have verified that you will not use any of this advice or our resources to invest with real money.

You also agree not to share this advice in a manor that it can be taken out of context. This is a game service and intended as a platform to test investment strategy, learn and have fun. By proceeding you are entering a contract with PennyStock-Profits.com, it's parent company PromotIS LC, our employees, services, board members and all contractors, subcontractors or anyone else associated with these products that you will not use this information for real investments, only for in game learning and fun.

You also agree to consult with a state certified investment adviser before applying anything you feel you have learned from this site and set of tools.
