Getting affiliate approval (DYD = nightmare!)

Hey.

Has anyone been in a situation like this? You have an affiliate selling idea which is really strong, but are dealing with hugely unprofessional people who don't approve their affiliate action.

Double Your Dating (a bespoke, very unprofessional outfit called Hot Topic Media) have taken about a month without approving an account for a content idea I really think will profit us both.

Does anyone have any ideas beyond keeping emailing them on getting approved?

Maybe I should make more accounts and then in 6 months when they come through I can sell them on for a grand each! Lol.

Seriously... should I even work with a company like this? If it takes this long to get approved, would I ever get paid?

The problem is, it really is a GREAT match for an idea of mine.

Were you guys glad you followed through with any difficult affiliate programs?

I was wondering what the deal is with Hot Topic Media. You can't see much there at all. No details about the products or affiliate programs.

I know DYD is pretty big now and I don't know if they're accepting any affiliates. I know I wouldn't mind having my product pitched to that list but I've never seen any affiliate programs on his list in the three years I've been reading his newsletters.
