How do you know what campaign your signups/visitor came from?

I have a page where I want people to opt-in or email me.

I have multiple campaigns that I use to drive traffic to that page.

Facebook Ads, Pinterest, Adwords, Social Media, Youtube, Banner Buys, Craigslist Ads, etc.

How would I know what campaign that visitor / signup came from?
#campaign #signups #signups or visitor

I normally just setup affiliate accounts within my own affiliate program to track click, signups, conversions, etc.

google analytics and tracing ids on the end of your affiliate links

I use a lead source script that tracks the URL and site
    that referred the visitor.

I also have custom fields set-up in my opt-in form to
capture this data so that I know my most effective
    traffic sources.

That way, I can direct traffic to the same page instead
of creating separate pages for each lead source.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

    Shaun

Very often I keep it simple and use pretty links to track the campaigns, works well for me

when I am using a variety of methods to generate traffic to one campaign I use a redirect script which also tracks the clicks, this is by Jason Fladien "Easy redirect Script" it is a paid product. For a free alternative I have used pretty link lite, which is a wordpress plugin .

    Statcounter.com works for me.

I use my own tracking domain where I can create protected links that I then set up on my campaings at the traffic sources. I can then follow everything through my tracking domain and follow my success (my tracking domain redirects to my offers and I can see full statisitcs).
