    Hey,

I think you can do this.

To make it easier and faster I suggest using a service like:

Hey!Spread - Video Distributing Web Service

There is no problem with this - what you can't do is use the same video again and again on youtube.

I'd use the 80/20 rule on this one!

I use YT for the social side of IM and driving traffic.

I use Vimeo for delivering my products when someone purchases and to create better looking videos for my sales pages.

What is Vimeo, is it similar to Animoto

I would exercise caution in doing this but it is a known method for helping with YouTube SEO. I sometimes use a fiverr gig for traffic geyser.

But there are other ways to rank the videos on youtube. Also, it depends on competition and keywords you are targeting. I will say it's about 50% easier to rank a YT video though than website

Nope, it's like YouTube or DailyMotion. I have a Pro account that lets me customize my video's attributes any way I could want (which helps for making them look really professional on sales pages). I can lock the videos down to only be embedded on a secure directory where I deliver the training to the customer. Also, I can let the customer download the original file of the training video if I want (so no Amazon S3 needed).

        It's the bee's knees...

But no where near the traffic that YT gets. (To reiterate, I do not put the same videos in both locations.) Traffic building videos go on YT - website and content videos go on my Vimeo.

        Hope that helps!

Thanks for your help! Just out of interest why wouldn't you put in both locations

    It's fine to do.
I find YouTube to be the best though as I've had videos there since YT started and they bring in constant Adsense each month for years. Also the hits have amounted into the mid thousands now.
The thing with YouTube is to wait for your videos to age.

I wasn't saying that you can't... I meant I don't know if it would be worth your time
