I need to retrieve my mails

I know this sounds dumb, but I'm afraid I just don't know how to retrieve emails from the email address I created on my domain name.

I mean, I created an address that looked like this: myname@mydomain.com using cpanel but I just don't know where to retrieve my emails (I've started using the address on sites and I'm thinking it has started getting emails)

I know this is a basic thing to know, but unfortunately, I don't, and I'll be glad if someone can help me out.

Thanks

    Go to yourdomain.com/webmail

That should (on most servers) bring up a login screen.

For your username enter the full email address you are wanting to check.

For your password enter the password you chose when you created that email address.

It should log you in where you can then view your mail. It might first present you with 3 or more different programs you can use to view the emails, just select one of them and it will take you to your inbox.

    Not dumb at all.

You can read your emails in cpanel through the webmail programs - Horde, Squirrelmail and RoundCube.

Here is an explanation from Hostgator but other hosting programs will be similar.

How to access your email through cPanel « HostGator.com Support Portal

The other way is to set you email to come into your regular email program like Outlook.

You should find instructions in cpanel where you set up the email address.

Dear Warrior. I don't recomend to use the webmail on CPANEL. It's a waste of time, I tell you a simple solution.
1)Create a Gmail account could be yourdomain@gmail.com or whatever you want, or you can use your main gmail account too. The important it's that you need a Gmail account.
        2)Go to CPanel
        3) Go to Forwarders --- Add Forwarders --- And put your myname@mydomainname.com on Address to Forward, then put your GMAIL account on Forward to email address.
        4) Now, you can receive all your mail in your Gmail Account.

Ok. then you have to put your myname@mydomainname.com connected to Gmail account in order to send emails on Gmail. For this this are the rules:
        1) Go to New Gmail Account
        2) Settings ---- accounts and import --- Send Mail As: And you put myname@mydomainname.com
        3) Gmail send a Verify Code.
        4)Verify.

You are ready to go You will receive all your mail in a gmail account and you will reply from the same gmail account.
Looks that is hard to do, but is very simple.
Use Youtube videos to follow the steps...
        Best Regards

I use Mozilla Thunderbird for my domain-based email. It's free and allows you to collect email from numerous accounts. . I agree with everyone else. The cpanel email is not very good. I will use it if I'm away from my computer and seriously need to check my email, but that has only happened two times that I recall.
