I think you have to be logged in to access the marketplace now.
Yes if you look at their Alexa traffic they have lost half of their traffic in the past year. People are moving to other cheaper and less restrictive marketplaces like WarriorPlus and JVZoo and all the other new networks. They are still a big network though, they are obviously trying to recover with all the changes they are making.

They lost half their traffic because half their traffic was coming from garbage offers. They got rid of the trash and only kept the good stuff. I'd rather have half the traffic but all decent offers as opposed to a lot of traffic filled with garbage.

In my opinion I think CB is going exactly in the right direction. Hopefully the rest of the industry will follow.

I haven't been on ClickBank in a long while. That said, I have bought one or two products from there and been pleasantly surprised. I think I will take a look again.

If Lexi is right that they dumped poor products or poorly performing products, then that is probably a good thing.

And for the clickbank marketplace, you will have to login before you can have access to it. Just look up to your top tools there. I like the changes anyway.

As a vendor at Clickbank for over 3 years I personally really like the changes that are happening. They are working hard to remove the negative stigma they received in the past.

They are also very picky now when it comes to approving products.

The fees are comparable to other services especially when you don't have to worry about waking up one day and having your account frozen and your recurring subscriptions cancelled.

    Cheers,

You just have to instead wake up to all the refund requests because of their ridiculously laxed refund policy. Hopefully they fix that soon enough. If they are being far more selective on the offers they approve then there is no longer a need for a mandatory 60 days no questions asked refund policy. None of the other networks force this upon you and they get along just fine.

But, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesnt Paypal have a 60 day refund policy. So even if I was to purchase from another network, as long as I pay through Paypal, I can get a refund anyway.

Paypal has a 30 day requirement to file a "Buyer Complaint" if it is a physical product and it is not guaranteed that you will get your money back if you file this. If you read the Paypal TOS you will find this clause:

"Please note: PayPal's consumer protection programs only apply to tangible, physical goods which can be shipped, and excludes everything else, including but not limited to: intangibles, services, quasi-cash and all non-tangible, non-physical goods."

I'm not a attorney, this is not legal advice, go read Paypal's Terms of service and come to your own conclusion, if you need assistance contact a competent lawyer that understands online Terms of Service.

I've been hanging out waiting (and hoping) they will come to their senses after all these years and finally change that 60 day refund policy.

I'm not holding my breath though.

My opinion is that they should raise the bar a bit.

          1. Require Vendors to have marketing material in place before the product goes live.

          2. Affiliate approval/screening for each vendor.

          3. Clickbank should offer services or 3rd parties in creating marketing material.

Conversions and Return rates are not always based on product quality, but how it is marketed. Both Vendors and Affiliates might not know how to market effectively left to their own devices. The lack of promotional material just opens the door to trouble and low sales.

            This.

Different affiliates have vastly differing refund-rates for the same products.

As ClickBank will confirm, if you discuss this with them, some affiliates have uniformly above-average refund-rates for every product they promote, while others have very few refunds indeed for anything they promote.

It's true that products in the "IM", "MMO" and "Forex" niches do, overall, have slightly higher refund-rates than those in other niches, and there are some other reasons for that, too. But most of the variances are very directly attributable to differences between affiliates' pre-selling methods. (And I'm saying that as an affiliate, not as a vendor).

A product which had a very high refund-rate across its whole range of affiliates would quickly be removed from the Marketplace by ClickBank, because of course the financial and administrative costs involved in processing the refunds wouldn't cover their processing profit-margins on the ones sold successfully.

I find, out of all the places I've ever used, that ClickBank's refund policy is the one that suits me best, as an affiliate. It's their refund policy that makes it so easy to sell the products. And it's one's own marketing skills as an affiliate that determine whether or not one's customers do actually refund. Some affiliates have refund-rates well under 1%, and some well under 0.5%, for all the products they promote.

I'm pretty confident that most (like 90%+, maybe more than 95%) vendors have few, if any, problems with affiliates - So 2 is a big non-productive waste of time for those vendors.

It is also a big pain and waste of time for affiliates (the vast majority of whom aren't causing problems). Right now, content affiliates can just find a matching product in the marketplace and post a link immediately, then do something else. If an affiliate has to wait several days before knowing whether they can even post a link, they will find some other ad to post in the mean time, like Adsense or Chikita, or any of the CPA programs.

This exact problem happens in CJ all the time. The extra hassle in CJ, and not in ClickBank means there are probably millions of links that might have been CJ links, but were ClickBank links.

They were going downhill fast, but I'd say they are going downhill slow now. At least they are taking some positive steps recently. We're finally seeing reports of low level creators being turned away. I don't know how deep that goes. You can't expect everything on a platform like that to be amazing though. If the stuff were top notch it would obviously be taken to a traditional publisher. So to a certain extent you have to be forgiving of what's on here.

I think they could stop the bleeding if they would wipe out the previously submitted medical advice and online bizopp offers and just start over from there with higher standards of approval.

I wouldn't say they are going downhill. I've been thinking about their recent changes, and from what I've seen, affiliates and product owners alike have started to take clickbank seriously because of it. I mean, since they know they can't sell garbage there anymore and they can't promote via unsavory methods anymore, I guess only ones who are ready do things the right way have stayed, and the others have moved on to abuse other smaller networks.

I'd say that's a pretty good thing, because by bringing in their new changes, they've drastically improved the quality of their marketplace, and that's all that matters in the long run, quality, not quantity. So, I'm pretty sure clickbank is not going anywhere anytime soon.

There are tons of marketplaces where you can sell your goods.
there are 2 type of marketplaces -
1 - where you pay the market a fees to sell your goods, they bring you the customers
    eg- ebay/clickbank/fiverr/ etc

2 - where you pay nobody, but you deal with traffic yourself as well.
    eg - purseplant.com/ craigslist etc

Being a ClickBank affiliate is the single greatest money-making venture I've experienced in 12 years making a full-time living online.

I ignored ClickBank until October of last year and what a mistake it was. As far as refund goes, I have a 0.29% refund rate (On over $5k/month of business) and a violet rating of 'Excellent' so it all comes down to which products you pick.

With overall EPC of $1.18 I can't imagine sending my traffic anywhere else.

You now have to be logged in to view the marketplace.

They charge fees based on your account standing which is working out depending on how many refunds or chargebacks you are getting.

Really? That has just saved me a ton of cash!

        Only joking lol

Most of my accounts are on Very Good, or at the least Good, however I did manage to get a few in Average as well.

I don't think that it's a bad idea to require log in before accessing the Marketplace. That way, vendors will be assured that only serious existing affiliates are promoting their products, not just casual passers by who might have a go if they felt like it. Like many other posts above, I think the changes were long overdue and can only make Clickbank a more reliable and serious digital marketplace.

It's seems that anyone can now access the Marketplace from the main page (ClickBank ) without first having to login

They must have be inundated with complaints about having to login first. Or they were seeing a drop-off in traffic.
