I've got hiccups ... but not actual ones

I've got a great keyword rich domain based on hiccups. It uses an exact phrase that gets about 8100 searches monthly on Google.

So my question is ... should I:

A. Sell a real cheap ebook on how to get rid of hiccups
B. Give it away, create a list and have a backend offer on natural health cures
C. Make it a content site and make money off of ads

Thanks in advance for all your responses guys!

My instincts tell me option B. While I'm sure there are some chronic hiccup sufferers out there, I'd bet most of your traffic is more casual on such a topic. If you can offer a free remedy ebook, I bet you can hook them for a long time.

A teaspoon of granulated sugar, gulped down with water. That's my cure.

    Tht's a difficult one.

I wonder how many books you could sell as there is so much free information online but I see there is a Kindle book for $3.52 and one on Nook for $6.97.

On the other hand if you gave it away to build a list I wonder how many of those would also be interested in Natural Health. Not everyone who has hiccups is going to be interested in natural health cures.

hahahaha ... Benny, thanks for the added tip!

Sandy (as well as anyone else) ... what do you think would be a good backend to suggestive sell with hiccups? I just threw in natural cures, since a lot of the hiccup cures are with things from around the house.

Thanks for the great posts so far!!!

That's my point. It's like stop smoking. Once they stop what else do they want?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

There's lots of home remedies out there. Collect a bunch! And then sell them on the latest techogadget that plays off the no-pesticide-natural-food-better-for-the-environment choice.

Personally, I like gold coffee filters, glycerin soap, great coffee, homemade cheese, and pepper mills. And I'm a guy. Those aren't things I have an active interest in, but things I know I will get beneficial use out of and will tend to click on, at least for additional info..

Natural products, natural vinegar, and unique food products with a homegrown, heirloom quality to them would also be appealing in this case.

I can foresee that selling the book (option A) could lead to weird refund requests.

          Please provide reason for refund

          "I've still got hiccups"

          .

I would go with number 3, obviously the traffic is there you just have to monetize it. It's not a niche where people would spend a lot of money for ebooks and other products.

I think that the people who find your site will want instant help. So an ebook is a possibility. But I would be inclined to put all the information right there on the home page (drink a cup of water backwards, over the roof of your mouth etc) and monetise via Adsense.

    Good luck.

Why don't you build an affiliate site around it, find a "cure" on CB, Amazon etc then you don't have to worry about creating something yourself

I didn't find any good product on CB for the hiccups and I don't really mind making a quick ebook. It only takes a very little amount of time. I'm not quite sure about the Amazon idea, however I never thought about it.

      Thanks for the advice Kim!

    C. Because it such small issue- I personally would want the info quick and easy to access. A eBook would be to long and necessary. I also wouldn't opt-in for that info.

See what is related to hiccups that could be useful and little more serious or create something like "prevent hiccups" if your looking for opt-ins.

    Hey Richard,

You could go for the Adsense option.

Just seen this ( only for next 24 hrs) This is NOT an affiliate link!

I would test out with option B and see how the list responds to A. If A does not work then see how C goes and if that does not work, drink some water and hold your breath!

Split testing may be a good idea. When I started to think about the site I was leaning towards option B. Now, with all of the responses I am now leaning more towards option C.

At this exact moment ... non existent

I just purchased this expired domain and I should have it in about a couple of days. The keyword gets about 8100 exact searches on Google with only 200,000 sites listed for the keyword. I should easily be on the first page in about 15 days tops and should get my share of 2000 - 3000 visitors a month.

I would take your ebook and sell it for $5. Then I would add upsells in the back office for them to upgrade to more products.
