Offline Businesses Build Lists Too

I have an Ovenclean franchise (just as glamourous as it sounds) and I just wanted to share with beginners that building an email list is a great way to start building a foundation for a long term business, just as we're building a list of customers over time.

We're always building our customer database/list with every job we do and in future we can call them and ask if they're oven is again in a state that they want it cleaning.

The same as Internet marketers will give away something to get people onto an email list, we give away a first time discount to customers to help gain their trust and impress them with the job we do, so that they are eager to have us next time they need their oven cleaning.

So this is a vital component of our business, for long term success.

Yes. Always try to build that list.

With so much talk back and forth about building a list, maybe a good question to ask would be "when is a good time NOT to build a list?" One would be hard pressed to think of a good answer for that.

Unless, you are a newlywed and you have a list of old girlfriends in your phone. Bad idea. That would be one of the few times that having a list is a bad idea.
