Ideas for monetizing an iPhone app & web app?
My app development company has an iPhone app (and soon-to-be mobile web app) that is a social community format based on asking anonymous questions and having conversations among strangers.
We were thinking about using Admob and similar services to monetize the app once we hit a predetermined number of users, but I don't know if I like the "fit" of Admob with our app. Plus, I don't think it would work with our web app.
I need ideas for this. Basically, our app is free, and it runs across all ages and demographics for interest. It's called TextThatQ, and is available in iTunes. The site is TextThatQ.
In addition to monetization advice, I'm looking for general reviews, opinions, and reactions to the app. We are working hard to get it to take off, and it is not an easy process. We've put in a ton of work, and it is slow going. Thus far we have around 900 members.
Please feel free to give me your input. Even if you have a product for sale that you'd profit from if i bought it, if it serves us well, I'd consider it.
