Clickbank Ready product - selling on flippa

Hello folks,

I made a quite decent e-book few months ago about affiliate marketing and authority sites. The book itself is about 70 pages long + 3 videos (10min each) about backlinking, setting up wordpress and finding profitable keywords.

I have also made a landing page and additional pages such as: affiliates, about me and blog. The salesletter cost me around $200... This product is basically clickbank ready... I guess I have invested around $300 in it + the creation time of the book.

However, I'm extremely busy in other niche - fitness. So I thought that I have no time to launch this product any time soon nor I'm interested in creating a WSO. I was wondering, is there any demand for such products on flippa? Yesterday I lurked around flippa and saw some ready made products. Some of them were sold for $50, some of them for $1000. Obviously most of the products were some PLR-BS with poor landingpage..

IF I'm planning to go with the flippa route, what kind of strategy would you use? $0 reserve, starting price $1 or something else?

Any suggestions are more than welcome

If the product you created had quality, you'd promote it and make money. Otherwise, you'd sell it to somebody else.

I think that concept alone is going to make it difficult for anybody to have any belief in a product you're trying to sell.

People don't sell hens that lay golden eggs for a reason. Anytime somebody offers to sell you one, be on guard.

    Hey there,

I have made around $20K on Flippa so far (selling only 10 websites). Based on my own experience, here are my advice:

    ----------------------------

    1) Starting price:

Start your auction at $1. This will allow you to get more bidders and activity on your listing. By getting a lot of bids, your site will get a chance to be listed in the "most active" section (meaning more visibility for you).

Moreover, a low starting price also has a psychological effect. You'll get a lot of bidders and people will start to think: "Wooow, if people are fighting to win this auction, there might be a really good reason". This usually results in even more bids.

    2) Listing Description:

Spend time on your listing description. Make it attractive. Show the potential of your site and product. Visitors should picture themselves making money with it. Be transparent and creative.

    3) List your site as an established site:

I know your site is new. I know that listing a site as an "established site" will be more expensive ($29). The thing is, if you are planning to sell it over $1K, listing it as an established site will be "cheaper" for you. An established site costs $29 to list + 5% success fees. A brand new site costs $9 to list + 15% success fees. If you sell your site at $1k, you will have to pay $50 success fees for an established site ($29 listing) or $150 for a brand new site ($9 listing).

    4) Auction length:

Doing a 3-4 day auction is usually the best (based on my own experience). In this way, people know that they won't have to wait too much.

    5) When should you list your site?

There are definitely more people online during the weekend. And more people online means more exposure and more bidders. This is why I always try to end my auctions on Sunday evening. This has been working very well for me (so far).

    6) Flippa upgrade:

When there is only one day left, I usually purchase the $50 upgrade (that allows you to list your site on the front page of Flippa). When I first started to sell sites on Flippa, I wasn't interested in any upgrades. My auctions usually ended with around 300-400 views. However, after purchasing the $50 upgrade, my auctions are now ending with over 1K views. So it is definitely worth it

    ----------------------------

    Hope it helps!

    Cheers!

Ben broke it down real well. He has just now given you a great blueprint for selling your site on Flippa. The only thing I will add is that when you are listing your site's description, try to list the benefits of your website for the purchaser such as "this site has the potential to make you passive income", etc. This will help increase the chances of your website selling more quickly.

If the site has no income, which yours sounds like it doesnt, then Malcolm is right you need to sell it on the potential, maybe compareing it to something similar that has sold many copies may help?

I also find that offering after sales support is a series selling point to many as lots of flippa buyers are new to hosting and websites

That's a good point. Maybe you can even send the buyer to your affiliate link/ coupon to sign up for Hosting. This will earn you some extra bucks ;-)

I have to agree with Ti. I look at Flippa daily and every time I see a "clickbank ready" site, I usually read "scam." I'd probably be even more likely to think its a scam if it was being sold as a "established site" and hasn't made any income.

My suggestion would be to list it on clickbank, get affiliates, make sales, and the value will skyrocket.

I guess you don't know much about Flippa... If I decide to list my site as an "established site" or as a "new site", there is no way for you to know it. This is a listing strategy based on the seller goal. It has nothing to do with a "scam". All information are already given in the listing description, so you shouldn't have any problem to see that the site is new and hasn't made any money (so far). This is also the reason why one of my advice (shared earlier) is to be fully "transparent" in your listing description.

I have quite a bit of experience with Clickbank and Flippa and the truth is that it will not sell for much if it is NOT making money.

My advice is to get it making money, if possible.

You can of course sell as a ready made site but people looking to spend real money aren't stupid, if you can't get it to convert why would they buy it?

Sure, they can build it up and get it to convert BUT if they know that much they could build the site and product themselves.

If you sell as a ready made you will get $300-$500 tops.

If you can prove it makes money and set it up as a ready made business that just needs building up you will do a lot better.

    Just my 2 pence.

I agree with the tips from Deezign for selling sites on Flippa, but I would run it as a WSO first and have a provable income to show. Nothing sells on Flippa like income.

You've done a lot of the hard work already - why can't you list it, and if you don't have time let affiliates pick it up and sell it for you on clickbank?

If it's not that good, then that's where that idea won't work...

You say you have invested around $300 in this project so far? If you want to sell it on Flippa for enough to make a significant profit on that investment, then I would have thought you'd need to demonstrate some income. If I were you, before I tried to sell it I'd either offer it on ClickBank for a while so that affiliates can hopefully get it some sales, or make a limited number of copies available on here as a WSO.

Whatever you invest creating wordpress site, income proof is a must factor to impress the buyers, coz everyone expect to earn 10X of what they pay for the site in 2-4 months after buying it. So test it and show some income proofs. Good luck.
