How do I block IP from Romanian spammers in Wordpress???

Hi,

Every day I get a spam message (defaults to a series of question marks) from the same IP in Romania. It always goes to the same post, made months ago.

I guess it's a bot of some kind.

I can manually delete these, which I have been doing for two weeks now, but is there a way in Wordpress to block the IP so they can't leave the message at all?

    If its really from the same IP, just log in to your cpanel and click on 'IP Deny Manager'.
    Enter the IP there.

    Why not just use Askimet plugin? It works pretty well for me.

      That's the same thing I use on my wordpress blog, well, well, well, you learn something new everyday, I didn't know about the ip deny manager, I might need to use that at some point in the future.

      Git Askimet loaded. Maybe I'm not using it right. I've clicked the "spam" button each time, figuring Askimet would "learn" from that, but I'm sure it's my lack of understanding it.

      Think I'll just deny these guys, then figure out why Askimet wasn't handling the problem.

    You could also do it via your .htaccess file, but I use both Akismet and Bad Behaviour together and the combination works great for me. I may get 1 spam a week now, if I'm unlucky

    You should be using Bad Behavior with Askimet.
