1st ever Hosting Account.

Hey Guy's,

I finally managed to purchase my website from namecheap and surprised myself that i changed the name servers to hostgator also.

So im hosted with hostgator and now i have the c panel,

Guys I have never had anything to do with websites or hosting, what do i need to do now to start running my website with wordpress, so i can add the content I've written

  • Congrats on taking the first step. Here's what you need to do to set up WP.

    Open up your cpanel and go to Fanastico (blue smiley face). You'll be guided thru the setup process from there. Takes about 30 seconds.

  • HG has excellent video tutorials available - use them. They'll really help you understand what you are doing.
  • Hey guy, why don't you take some time to learn the process of manually setting up WordPress here: WordPress › Blog Tool, Publishing Platform, and CMS
    It will be more helpful to know the basic in the future.
  • Anytime I get stuck on something like this I head on over to good old YouTube - There's pretty much a video tutorial for most things on there.
