Picking Email Topic
Hey,
Ed, who receives my daily email, asked "How do you come up with all these different topics for your emails?"-
When he first broached the subject my mind went to a negative place Strange?
Let me further explain. I am never ever ever ever comfortable writing these things.
Have you written a letter or an essay and you just can't seem to collect your thought
in a cohesive and cogent manner?
That is, from what I've found," The B.S. Factor." Yeah! The B. S. Factor
Simply put. The reason for the "Ball of Confusion" in your head is due to
the lies (B.S.) that are about to be immortalized on paper
All done for the sake of a good grade. To win an argument. To make a SALE!!!
I've written more emails in the early on that have been either balled up and thrown
in the trash, Or just deleted...they REEKED! Desperation.
Another thing I don't do is rely on my "Feelings" when coming up with topics.
What I "Feel" has nothing to do with reality. They can be very useful in the proper
Context. But for me, They must be kept at bay in order to get the best possible outcome...
Like not being so wrapped up in getting a another SALE.
I wish it came to me much easier; cuz it's a lot of work.
And this isn't a venting message on how hard my life is
as a marketer.
I like to think of this as a 'Snap shot' of me
