How to find experienced writer in particular niche?

Hi warriors,

I'm looking for writer, who would be experienced in martial arts. I have already tried services such as iWriter and Elance. Both has a lot of writer and copywriter, but I found it hard to find a writer, who would be familiar with one or another particular area. As I really want my articles to be written by person who knows a lot about one particular martial art, not just rewrites "google words"
I wondering if there is such as service, where writers are sorted by categories, or maybe you can offer me any other method how easier to find writer - niche expert?

place an ad in this forum. However you can't always find writers who are niche specific. For example, I have written articles on a LOT of topics I knew almost nothing about before I started but the clients were happy when I finished.
So maybe you want someone who is versatile to help you.

Go to a couple of dojo/studios and make it sound like you are from the press or similar. You'll get something original that way.

You can post a job in the ProBlogger jobs section, but it costs $50.00 for a 30 day ad. Or as others are saying, try finding one here. There has to be somebody who knows the area of martial arts.

Just know you might have to pay a writer that you find here, more than you would on a freelancer site.

You can find some good ghost writers on here in the Warriors For Hire section and you can also do some research on Odesk, although it's pretty similar to elance.

I've written copy for Target Focus Training in the past, which is a type of self defense system for people who primarily want to protect themselves (rather than excel at martial arts for the sports/competition part of it).

Send me a PM if this is in line with the market you're looking to target.

Posting an ad on this forum is a great way to find writers who are experienced in all different kinds of niches. It's also an awesome avenue to build relationships and find people who you can count on over and over.

I've found odesk.com to be very useful to find good writers, and even perhaps fiverr.com in some cases.

If you want the best and are willing to pay well for great content, my suggestion would be to search Amazon's Kindle Store to find self-published authors who have written books about martial arts. Read them or at least skim them to see if they are up to par, then reach out to the author via social media or email. Offer them a deal and see if they bite. Chances are good since they are already a writer and already know the subject matter very well.

Some writers may frequent martial arts forums or blogs. Actually, some martial arts bloggers might be open to doing some writing work themselves, which may interest you if you enjoy their style.
