Getting Advertisers

Ok so cut a long story short I run an online community for language learners.

Currently only getting 70k pageviews a month which I really hope from an effort on SEO and site additions picks up in the next few months.

Is this enough to attract advertisers in your opinion?

Do you know the best way to attract advertisers to advertise on the site in your experience?

I've just signed up to buysellads but they rejected the site a couple of years ago and i've noticed others in my niche have not received paying advertisers as their placements are all available.

    buy sell ads is one of the best source to get advertisers for blog......for getting approval your blog should have valid page rank as well as with good alexa (like below 1K)...

      You could directly contact potential customers (language schools...) and ask them if they would be interested running banner or text-ad on your site.

    I am in a similiar position to you :-)

    Except... I get 70,000 visits a month aand like 2mill page views a month :-) and my forum is in a niche so tight everybody is surprised :-)

    I have sponsors and I use to work hard to get them but now that we are the industries leading resource its a lot easier.... They come to me....

    But just get on the blower and make the calls.... keep calling... they will start to visit your site and once THEY start seeing the value you can pretty much name your price....

    One mistake I made when i first started selling ad space was undervaluing what I had and I went from selling £2k a year banner to selling the same banner £17K a year..... But also dont get greedy :-)
