The 2- month challenge

Hi,
I am in a fix- I have reached a saturation level with my online writing stints and want to try something new. I have also reached an earning limit and I have peaked. That is, I cannot, possibly, earn more than I am earning doing what I am doing right now .
So, I have posed myself a challenge- I will write and e-book (my first for my own self) and market it. The idea is still in its inception stage, I haven't chalked out the topics even, as we speak. I have thought of a few niches, though.
I am giving myself a time of two months to write, market and sell this e-book. The only way I am going to market the e-book is using WF and DP. The prices would be the same at both the forums and you should see a WSO coming up soon.
I will also try and keep everyone posted about the progress I make on the e-book. Suggestions regarding the niche etc. are welcome. My only motivation of writing an e-book and marketing it for myself is establishing myself as a stand-alone writer (not a ghostwriter) and successively rolling out e-books that are informative. If my first e-book is successful, I plan to get into e-book writing full time. Wish me luck!

Good luck. A bit of advice: Never give up your old income until you're sure your new income is steady and repeatable.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Yes, I second that thought. I won't be giving up my writing business altogether. That is the reason why I have given myself a two-month time-frame to complete the challenge!
    Thanks for the advice!

Its a gray area, even for me! I am working out a marketing plan and I am planning to market the e-book in two markets only for now- WF and DP. I know, buyers are not too "high paying" at DP, but then, these are the only two markets I understand.
As far as the niche goes, I am planning to write something related to marketing article writing services. I think, not much has been written in this field as we speak- until someone steals this idea and writes an e-book before I do .
I can write sales copies myself and would rely on my copywriting skills to pull traffic. A B**** of a copy can make all the difference in the two markets I am focusing on, for now. The pricing also has to be taken care of, specifically for the DP market.

I have decided the niche, it is related to marketing freelance services- something that is very relevant to all of us. I won't be disclosing much about the chapters, but my book should focus on steps needed to generate a stable income through freelance gigs.

Oh good, but wouldn't it make more sense if you created the e-book first and got down to promotion after it is ready? Personally, I don't believe in rigid time limits when it comes to writing things... Just my two pennies.

This is not a promotion per say. I have posed this challenge in order to get myself working. I will be promoting the e-book once I am ready to launch it. This thread also intends to track down various suggestions that people might have.
      Thanks

The WSO price must be cheaper than you can find anywhere else. It is a special for warriors only so it shouldn't be the same price that you are selling at DP.

hopefully is it will be for beginners for people who are just starting out step by step how to get going on almost no money.and give them all the free places to advertise. and none of those places that don't produce that are just a wast of time.
      just my opinion

But thats exactly what everyone is selling. I am looking at how to make sustainable money from marketing freelance services. Making money from the internet would be a totally different niche, and to be frank, that is not something I can write on.
I have some marketing ideas, some mathematical plans and some graphs which I have developed and are unique. These mathematical tools would be unique to freelance writers (and service providers) and therefore, I hope to sell more copies of this volume as compared to any stereotypical e-book promising instant cash.
