Selling ebook on skin care, Clickbank or kindle?

Hi Guys,
I have been lurking here for a long time quietly without much contribution.

I am planning to venture into kindle publishing and is having 2 eBooks written on skin care.

Should I sell it on clickbank or kindle? Kindle pays so less. My original intention was to sell it on clickbank.

And my ebooks are quality ebooks with some personal contributions as well since I don't want to just sell junk.

Thanks.

    Why not do both?!

Personally I think a skin care book, unless it is specifically about an urgent problem people are seaching for help with, is pretty general and would not command the (relatively) high price of a Clickbank book.

So I would think Kindle would be a better platform for a general skin care book.

Unless it is something like "Cure Shingles in 7 Days" or "Natural Psoriasis Remedies" then it might fit on Clickbank.

Do both and maximise your profits! The more sales channels you can get, the better

    Good luck

You could always sell them under different titles

    I sure hope so.

A good friend of mine is on medication for Psoriasis and it's a very serious matter.

Until someone who bought the book on Kindle buys the same book with a different title on Clickbank (presumably for a higher price too). How do you explain that to the customer?

I've never understood how people dare to write books on health topics. For example, under skin care, tretinoin is an excellent skin rejuvenator and the only compound proven to reduce wrinkles (forget about L'Oreal crap). Problem is, if you use tretinoin, you must use a specific type of sunblock because long-term use of tretinoin without protecting the skin against sun exposure will increase likelihood of skinn cancer.

I'm an amateur chemist and I would not dare to write a book on a health topic, even though I knew it very well (you should know the amount of health crap I know ), so I've never understood how people who are not qualified (as in, not gone to and finished med school) write health books. And don't get me started on the "Grow 4 inches taller" books

I would do both! Kindle will get u more exposure and click bank may get lost in the abyss. Kindle will guarantee more downloads only if you are in the KDP select. Also depends on what your goal is on the backend

Awesome. Thanks for all your wonderful responses. Never knew I could get so many quality thought provoking replies.

I have decided to go with click bank first and test the waters for some few months. And if possible edit some few pages on my two skin care ebooks and also add some more pages etc to make it more unique and put it up on Kindle for long term income. :-D
However, I have check and my topics are quite unique in the sense that I target a particular sub-genre of the original disease with has around 2k searches per month and another around 24k searches. is that any good.?

How many "SEARCHES" in a month for a particular topic is considered a necessity before writing on that topic for clickbank?

I don't think there's a simple, numerical answer to this question. It depends on quite a lot of things, some obvious and others far from it.

I'm an affiliate, not a vendor, but I don't really decide anything to do with my business according to the number of people searching for anything in Google.

I see that Google search volumes may, overall, be a very loose, general indication of "societal interest", but if your product relates even tangentially to something for which serious, professional affiliates have substantial lists, then a product can surely become very successful whether people are actually searching for a specific keyword or not? And SEO traffic is about the worst kind of traffic you can ever get, or rely on, for a health information product, anyway?

Actually I just wanted to know whether I can create a product that can sell, judging from the amount of organic searches. And I am a new vendor so any tips can help :p

I understand this. Well, I wish you well, and good luck with it, and I hope you're not offended by the observation that if I were a new vendor, that certainly wouldn't be what I'd be judging it from. :p
