Best way to get dating traffic

Hello guys,
I'm the owner of few very good dating sites and want to start a conversation about dating staff. If you are not the first day in dating niche and have made a good money with dating sites, what methods of driving taffic is the most value for you?

I tried a lot of different kinds to drive the traffic:
- Adwords
- Original
- JuicyAds
- Fiverr
- Social networks
- Other dating sites
etc.

Can you share with me your methods?

  • I haven't experience with dating traffic but I have heard that Facebook is the best place to get targeted traffic that converts for dating business.

    You will need to create a fan page of your website and start some ad campaigns to get more likes. Post regularly relevant and engaging content and in the near future you can get tons of traffic to your website.

    EDIT: remember that using Facebook for traffic takes time and efforts, it is not as fast and easy as just buying ads on websites. But it pays for the efforts!
  • What do you mean by "dating sites". I own several and each of them are VERY different.

  • I pull free traffic to my dating sites via SEO which converts better than even paid traffic.
    For paid traffic for dating sites, I prefer Face Book as you know who you are targeting...

      I'm preparing one WSO about this because technique I use bring me more than 1k daily only with dating niches (CPA offers) but for technique I use need several software totally cost around $200.
      Facebook always was great source for promote dating niche.
      I try also with paid ads like PPV/PPC (not on Facebook) but did not get results I expect but PPC/PPV are long story to discuss and maybe I did not get success with it and you will.

    Join Dating Forums and stay active
    Run a blog on your site and update it regularly with dating related posts
    Guest post on other dating related blogs
    Offer some ebook or some PLR content based on this topic for free after registering
  • Whats your method of converting visitors into leads, and leads into customers? Dating site squeeze pages convert very well... better than IM and home business squeeze pages, and i've found the conversions (sales) to be better also.

    Start with some free marketing to generate traffic to your site. There are alot of techniques, but i'm sure you have the time. Tread slowly when doing paid advertising. Make sure you know how to make the numbers work.

    I tried my hand at it but those PUA forums are shut down tight when it comes to posting links or having a sig link, doesn't matter how many value posts you contribute..

    As for paid traffic, I tried POF plenty of fish but again not successful then I tried buysellads.com but got bit again. anyways, i wish you the best of luck.

    • Yes they are but PUA forum owners enjoy the good life, and they'll gladly give you ad spots or text links for $$.

      Forum postings do work particularly well in the dating niche, but yes, it's tough to find friendly forums, especially in PUA .
  • What did you do as far as marketing with social networks?

    Because I would think that this kind of traffic would be the best for dating sites, because they are basically just going from one social site to anohter social site. Does that make sence?

    Why didn't this marketing method succeed for you?
  • Plenty of Fish! It has a very good self-service ad platform, and its users will convert for dating offers. Super-targeted.

    • I heard the other day that POF prevents free dating sites from advertising on their platform.

      For my dating site, I have done well with article marketing and JuicyAds.

  • I use to use adbrite before that company may pass away. However, my favorite now is blogads. It is easy to get a low PPC if you find the right blog to advertise in. Pity that so many companies are no longer with us. Sadly, only the strong can survive.

  • I believe the combination of Facebook and Twitter will give you an additional traffic for your dating site. Or just like mathew inman, you can make a comic about romance and then post it in your website. Facebook is very crowded with people who are interested to "in relationship" with someone. While in Twitter, you can give relationship advice to the people who are tagged with "single" or something like that.

  • One of my favorite ways to get traffic is to buy traffic, is to find all of the most popular dating forums and buy ad space on them. I'll also find dating newsletter or membership sites, and contact the owner and negotiate a price for a mailing.

    So basically banners on related sites, especially forums, and buying mailings from people in the niche with huge lists, or well targeted lists.

    Your goal is to make sure your offer is optimized to convert sales at the highest possible rate. Split test everything and optimize your campaign hat way you can have an unlimited ad budget

    I found the traffic to be totally useless. It's expensive too.

    I have no experience in running a dating site but a friend runs a dating sites uses the following strategies to driving traffic to his site.
    He joints free forums and remains active with the forums
    He uses social media such as Facebook,Twitter etc to popularize his sites.
    He joints other dating sites and forums
    He guest post on other dating related blogs.
    These have worked a great deal for him.I believe it will of great assistance to you also.
    Just try them out!

    you can drive the cheapest traffic from second tier search engines like 7search,advertiser,looksmart.

    really good traffic that you can converts.
  • If you are looking to run paid campaigns you should buy a customer phone number list or even email list, and then run a facebook campaign targeting only those users.

    Free traffic you should go with creating how to youtube videos and then linking everything to your squeeze page.

    • yes - exactly - this method works if you have highly targeted people - but the best from my experience is facebook engagement with few pages dedicated to this. It could take some time but in the end you will have your results.
  • Personally, I don't own a dating site but I'm involved in one as a consultant. Your ways of traffic seem ok, you might wanna ramp them up, try dating forums for posting and advertising, FB ofcourse with really good targeting, see what you can do with YouTube SEO, and buying banner ads on other major dating sites it looks cost effective. Also, try experimenting with ad-sense targeting and re-targeting and see if the prices fits your plan.

    This of course is not all, but it might give you more visibility.

  • Facebook is really a great place to get dating traffic from. You can also branch out to POF and adult traffic brokers such as exoclicks and trafficjunky. These four alone give me all the dating traffic I need.

    And they're all self-serve.

    As you progress in mastering these, you should then consider PPV. That's what the big boys use these days.

  • You could use PPV to target forums/products dealing with pick up, approaching women, etc
  • Focus on making your site SEO friendly to get free Google traffic, posting high quality content to your website, as well as being active with social media and forums.
  • Am in the Dating Niche but in Europe/German Market and have good Traffic from my Kindle eBook.

    I seted up an eBook about Dating, First Site Cover on the second site an opportunity to get free Dating Tipps (Good Headline) and insert there my Link.

    The Link goes to a squeezepage and there i get daily 50-120 Leads. Then i send over 2 Weeks 5 good newsletter with perfect information and then i promote my products or link to an affiliate site.

      For me the best is SEO, but it is worse now than it was before, I think to start promoting on Facebook.
  • Go for Adwords or Facebook PPC. They will work well for you. Targeting a specific community will make the journey easy for you. Otherwise it will become very tough for you to get ranking and traffic.

    • I have been using adwords for about 3 months but got an email that my ads are suspended due to my website being a mirror/copy of other sites. Its an affiliate site which i cannot change. Is there a workaround?

    • My dating site is generally free except for VIP services such as higher ranking in search results, colorful backgrounds, more search criteria options, better incoming message filtering etc.

  • Have you tried YouTube? I know its the obvious but it works great for me and I do promote an offer in the dating niche.
  • Dating is such a broad category... i think you're really limiting yourself because there are so many different ways to get "dating traffic"

    It depends what type of traffic you want, what type of customers you're looking for, etc.

    So many factors I think you need to be a bit more specific and then rather than hopping around and dabbling with all different types of traffic try one source at a time and see which is the best for your site

  • According to me , Social Media optimization is the best way to get traffic, but now it's may count in bulky traffic , so this cause i prefer if anyone need real traffic then doing SEO and used pure ways like link building and SEO for to get real traffic.

    • I have a straight affiliate dating site. No escort, nudity etc. Target men 40+ looking for younger women. I already learned that Adwords does not allow affiliate dating sites so looking for other options.

      1. Bing do they allow affiliate dating sites?
      2. FB do they allow affiliate dating sites? I will not have affiliate link just regular link to website i own which happens to be affiliate dating site

  • Post on dating forums and comment on dating blogs, but be sure to leave a link back to your dating site.

  • check out FB ads, some of the dating ads i have seen lately are crazy, straight to nude landing pages etc..they are getting very lenient with dating ads.

    2. Go to local pubs and find a few cute girls willing to hand your cards out to single guys.

    3. Repeat the process in new locations.
