Multiple Streams of Income (From 1 Blog)

I've been guilty of it in the past and it's only recently that I've got my act together - but what I see a lot of these days is people making so many sites and not getting as much money as they could do out the sites they already have.

Since I've knuckled down in January this year I've finally started to see some great results. Going from making $100 for the whole of last year to making $300 this month alone - from only one site.

Life changing money? No - but seeing as I only really stuck my head down in Jan this year I'd like to think I'm on the right path.

I've earned most of my money from affiliate marketing - which I would class as one stream of income from the blog.

I also build a list, this would be another stream.

I'm thinking about adding Adsense as another stream but I don't want to start making the site look tacky, and I've got a few ideas for the product creation side of things.

My question is what are your streams of income on your blog/s?

Congrats CS. Seems that whatever you are doing is working for you. You know you could easily create a guide and a mind map of your journey since January and sell it as a product or offer it as a freebie to get more subscribers. Either way you could make more money.

      Thanks ejullya!

Yeah I could do but I'd rather just focus on one thing at a time at moment. But I might just do that thank you!

Well the reason why so many people create more than one website is because it's always possible to go back and work on the sites that are actually making money. If you only try building one site, chances are that it will fail.

It all goes back to: find a profitable model and scale up.

Since you're making money on your first site, chances are that you got lucky. Still, good job and keep it up.

  • My suggestion is don't go with AdSense. I've been down this road....

I had a few sites where I promoted affiliate offers and they were doing great, both with sales and traffic.

So smart guy me, thought "HEY! Why not add something that can make more money". So I added AdSense. That costed me a lot of sales, I didn't really get that much from AdSense and I didn't really get sales from my affiliate offers, so I ofcourse removed the AdSense. It took a while to get back to the "normal" sales.

Anyway I just don't like mixing it up. I just like to keep it simple.

Building a list is definitely #1 priority for any blog.
+ affiliate offers and CPA offers. You can do review posts for affiliate products related to your topic.
