      It might be better to do some offline marketing for your products / services to get actual traffic which might be more beneficial than just buying some pop up traffic and others.

      Just a thought. Most of my customers try offline marketing to achieve highest success. i.e. flyers, leaflets, banners, posters and single most powerful tool spread the word via friends and family.

    well it depends on what your offer and niche is, there are places that specialize in traffic for certain niches. The most popular ways of buying traffic are, Adwords (works great when done right) Yahoo/Bing PPC, Facebook, and Banners

    All of those ways work great, your goal is to target the right crowd, and then work on split testing to increase your conversions.

    Lets say you are paying $1 per click, your goal from that point is to work on split testing and optimizing your campaign, to Earn more than $1 per click, if you can get up to $2-$3 EPC on your site than you have struck a goldmine and can literally have an unlimited spending budget.
