CPanel Backup Tool for WordPress / Databases ETC?

Hello Fellow Warriors,

I was wondering if there is a good service, tool, or CPanel extension to do full CPanel backups on a scheduled, say weekly or daily basis?

I'm looking for something easy to use and it would be a plus if it would backup everything to dropbox, or amazon s3 but it doesn't have to.

Would like to know how warriors backup their cpanel / WordPress / Database and all files on a regular basis.

Found backomatic.com, would like to know if anyone has used it or if there is something better out there.

I have multiple CPanels, so it would be good if it worked on multiple accounts.

Honestly I use updraftPlus to backup all my Wordpress sites directly to dropbox. As for full cpanel backup automation, I'm not sure i've ever seen that done or heard of a way to back up cpanel easily.

If you are looking for a plugin where cpanel is concerned I doubt you will find it. I think what you will need to do is make one hell of a cron job in each of your cpanel accounts to get it done.

Cool thanks, I use ManageWP and it backs up my WordPress sites daily, but there are some things on CPanel that I need backed up, and they are not on WP : /. Still doing some reserach, thanks : )

Actually, just hounded hostgator support. You can find their information here:

Scheduled Backups « HostGator.com Support Portal

Essentially, if you are on a shared hosting manual is all you get. Otherwise you can do it from the WHM section. This may vary depending on your host and what they allow. So full CPanel backups, from the perspective of just scheduling it in Cpanel is out im afraid.

Cool, thanks for the info guys. Will be checking these solutions out, I guess you can never have too many backups so I'm just trying to protect my jewels ( sites) lol.

You can use this free plugin WordPress › Online Backup for WordPress « WordPress Plugins for taking database and filesystem backup from within your wordpress admin dashboard. You can either keep the backup on the web server , or download that to your computer ... and use it later at some point ...

Back about 18 months or so I had a number of cPanel accounts scattered around so wrote a bot that logged into each of them, backed up the account and then SCP'd it another server. Don't have so many now so didn't keep the bot updated.

Guess it depends on how lazy you want to be
