Get Rich Quick? Or Build a Business?

You ever wonder how many warriors are attracted by the desire to get rich quick? Also, how realistic is that? We read these sales letters "How I made $54,210.19 in 21 days with no list, no this, no that, etc." But how many will ever do that?

It seems like in every real success story it takes years (or maybe for the best ones just months) of making multiple purchases, trying different things, and finally developing the skills to perfect a method that works for them.

It seems to be a truth no matter what method you settle on you're going to have to go through a period of struggle, a period of frustration, a period of trial and error, and a period of getting a large enough quantity of whatever it is you're doing "out there" - until it builds enough momentum to where it starts to take on a life of it's own.

So what about it? Are you here to get rich quick? Do you really think you can? Or, would you still be here if you KNEW it was going to take a lot of hard work over a sustained period of time?

its funny how you see the posts, I made £65,000 an hour, learn my secret for only $4, get real they are just selling snake oil, think of it this way why would they sell their secret when they could train others to do what they do and make a % on it, or better yet, use sites like odesk, fiver and VA's to duplicate their method.

long term business success is all ways better than here to today gone tomorrow business, but then again the thought of easy money is to much of for simple minds to understand.

I haven't met one business person (or internet marketer) who has made it rich without having gone through a period of hard work, blood, sweat and tears.

Most people I've spoken to have been pretty close at some time in their online journey to smashing their computer up and quitting internet marketing altogether.

A good coach can take you through the process a lot quicker, but in this business in my opinion some trial and error is important.

Me personally - I tried loads of courses training systems and the like before I eventually understood the marketing game and started making a real income.

I realized that its not hard to make money online at all -you just have to focus on one thing master it rinse and repeat the hell outta it :-)

Yeah I'd love to have the money I've spent on courses, WSO's etc. I added it up one time and it was over $2,000. A drop in the bucket when you've 'arrived' but still a good sum when you're starting out and trying to figure it all out. I guess it's part of 'paying your dues'.

I agree with you 100%. Find something and stick to it. Even so it's so easy for a good copywriter to hit my greed button and get me buying again. Have to limit the lists I'm on and the time I spend 'shopping'. It's best when I do no shopping at all and just focus on one thing.

If I say I am making $1000 an hour and you can learn my secret just for $10. So where is the secret and who are my customers from whom I am making $1000 an hour.

The first sad truth is that the figure of $1000 per hour is fake.

The second sad truth is that people like you are my customers who are giving me money to learn my secret and the secret is to sell anything by telling the false success stories to everyone.

I hope now you might have understood the real truth of such promises.

Hi nitesh, I was just thinking the same so not to repeat what had been said already you summed it up very clearly. I believe many newbies fall for that and I am sure even the ones who have been online for a while but have not succeeded yet fall for these false offers as well.

I'd question anyone who makes such or similar offers. Unfortunately you still see offers of this nature floating around all the time. And, by luring people in with statements that are not true some of the marketers make money .

But on the other hand, if a person is naive enough to buy into such falsehoods it is the buyer's fault, no one but his own stupidity and greed is forcing him to purchase.

Success is earned through hard work, focus and dedication, be it on line or offline

Well, it is possible to GET RICH QUICK, but not GET RICH EASY. Hardwork is essential if you really want to prosper. GET RICH QUICK is existing but needs ideas that will generate profit within a week. Because of these scams, GET RICH QUICK is now overrated.

In the beginning I was think the same. Oh yeah, 9 years ago, first time in an online marketing is normal that I absorb all what other say. I spend a lot of money and time till I get results I have it today. I will not say how much I earn per day because can say anything but the point is that expert one are just searching for newbies to sell them some"secret" money making system that will make them rich overnight!
Common, there are no secret on the net, only ideas that needed to be put in ACTION, that's all.
And remember, there are no get rich quick money making schemes and it will pass some time till you start to make good money.
I don't say it's hard to do it but as every other job need to have experience to move around and grab every opportunity you seems to be profitable.

Work smart, not hard and you will get results!

I think what keeps us bouncing back and forth from one opportunity to the other in the beginning is because it's so easy to imagine that with the right information the internet has the potential to open the floodgates. And it does - if you know what you're doing.

Then along comes one sales letter after another promising to do exactly what you're hoping for. And the copywriters know that's what you're hoping for. So it's awful hard to resist, because again - "what if this is the one that's going to show me how to get it right away?" But it's still no different than any other successful business - you need hard work and the right system. And you need to do a lot of it. It also has to be the right system - for you.

Ever heard the saying "You gotta fake it to make it." Well unfortunately, that's what most internet marketers are doing these days. I was on the "Get rich quick" bandwagon until a couple of months ago. I was bouncing back and forth from this to that. I didn't stick to ONE thing. I was over whelmed with information. Doing this, I spent more money than I made. So I was back to square one.

After experiencing that, I am not here to get rich quick anymore. I'm sticking to ONE thing, a SOLID business model and not giving it up until I make some money.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

I personally prefer long time online business building
the idea is that you will not achieve any success with just selling products or services, you will have to sell or market yourself and sell your experience in your favorite topics to build a real successful online business

Putting the time and effort into building a long-term and sustainable business is much more important than investing in "get rich quick" schemes.

I'm not here to get rich quick. I want a solid business based on a variety of internet marketing tactics... not just 1 technique that will make me $93,032 by the end of the night... and it's 11:55pm at night.

I'm in it for the long haul. I've lost money, in that I've spent money on various things, and some of it was completely wasted. I've made some bad decisions because of a lack of knowledge, but it is what it is. I'm not discouraged, I've done a few things right I think. Right now I'm open to suggestions and willing to follow the ones I think are solid. The get rich quick things I see may have the potential to make someone rich, but so does buying a lottery ticket.

In my eyes you have to build a business to make real money. It's not important how you do it, but stick with one thing. This does not mean to use only one method but focus only on one aspect like list building, sniper sites, authority sites, product creation or any other stuff. Do not make the mistake to try all at the same time.

It depends. You can make money and not be able to sustain it because you're not working a system. I don't think any really successful IM'er got there without an identifiable system that worked and was then scaled up and done over and over again.

I'm a bit baffled by many of the responses. If someone gave me a choice between "get rich quick" or "build a business" without a second thought I would get rich quick, and THAN after that build a business

You shouldn't get hung up that, the key is to know what to do with the money you make to scale up. After all just look how many people that win the lottery become broke in matter of years.

But in reality the driving force for me was to become free and independent of the working world. After all there is nothing better than working for yourself...

Price is what you pay, value is what you get.

I have been learning about entrepreneurship, and studying IM for 9 months straight! I have purchased a few wso and I don't regret them. I have been to so many webinars. I invested so much money to get to where I am at today that I am embarrassed to say. lol!!

Money has no value and when people truly realize this money will just start flowing once they start helping people.
