If I was absolutely desperate to make money online, I would make a quick website selling a simple affordable product that will benefit small busiensses. Upsell the product to these small busiensses such as seo service, web design, and so forth. Close the sale and have an instant commission for the day.

If I HAD to make money TODAY, I would not do it online. Go wash a car, wash windows, shovel a driveway, etc. You provide a service to someone today, they will usually pay you today.

  I was going through this thread yesterday...I know people get tired of seeing this link, but, if you really want to make money you should probably just go somewhere quiet, and, read it. The ideas dont change. People think starting a thread like this will bring new ideas. but, they are all on that link. Need more than a few dollars? You can scale what's there.

  I would get my ass off my chair and head straight to my sister's house. I'll tell her to lend me some cash and I'll pay it when I got mine. I don't want to sell my stuff (no old stuff to sell, after all). And I guess I'm too lazy to offer offline service to anyone.

Would definitely go the Ebay/Craigslist route and sell some stuff.

Building an online income is not a one-day thing, especially if you're starting from scratch.

  I have to agree with others here and say selling my stuff online. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but I've made about $1000 in the past few months selling stuff I was planning on giving away. Before I was pretty wary of selling anything through craiglist but found a pretty safe spot to meet with others and other than a few low balling people I've gotten the price I wanted for everything.
  
  There isn't much that you can set up online that will start making you money that day, especially when you have no experience.
  
  Nonetheless I live in Vegas so if worst came to worse I'm sure I could be a street performer on the strip and make enough money to feed myself. Hell just the other day I was driving through the strip and saw a guy selling ice cold water from a cooler. It made me think about doing that myself. You can buy a pack of water bottles for like $7 and sell them for $1 each. If you've ever walked around on the strip around this time of the year you'll know why this can be profitable.
  
  Each city has it's own unique attribute that you can profit from, so just be open to different things. When I lived in Japan I could have tutored some Japanese folk in English same thing when I lived in Korea. So these are all specific to these areas. Good luck, hope this helped.

I would start making something extra through online. I would start a Web copy writing service.
Affiliate marketers and info product marketers will my major clients because they are always on the look out for possible ways to increase the click through rate, subscription rate and conversion rate of their websites.

Putting stuff for sell on eBay/Craigslist/etc is a good idea, but there is no guarantee that someone will buy it TODAY. You can go days before selling anything, unless you price your stuff extremely low.

  On a side note I'm about to sell my GoPro silver edition with 32gb micro SD card for $225. Not bad considering I bought it for $330 in December. It's over $100 cheaper but I never use the camera so I'm calling it a win.

I'd do the offline method too. Making money each day with IM is easy, but it takes time to get there. Offline marketing to local businesses. You'd be surprised at all the amateur sites for wedding planners etc. I'd offer a new site design (Wordpress and a nice theme). Easy $200.
