Making Youtube Videos

I will make this short and sweet. What program/website do you use to make your youtube videos? At times, I will use just pictures and my voice. Sometimes I will do a tutorial type deal showing my computer's desktop.

I have a mac and I use quicktime to record screen capture videos or webcam videos.

I also use a flipcam if I want to film something outside of the office.

To edit my videos I use iMovie 6 instead of the newer version.

Then I just export in full quality and upload to YouTube

If you’re just using your voice and your images I would say outsource it. There are websites out there like fiverr.com where people will put together a video for you for 5 bucks and get it to you the same day. All you do is send them a detailed explanation of what you need done and it’s that simple.
For screen shots, tutorials, and step-by-step stuff I would just download camtasia. It’s easy enough to use that I am pretty sure monkeys actually employ it.
There are other options to consider as well and there is a lot of free, or very inexpensive software available for download online. It just depends on what you’re trying to do.

These days I use PowerPoint and Camtasia.
Also a dedicated camcorder and an iPhone video facility.
When YouTube started out I used something similar to Camtasia - the quality was not great, but those videos bring in good YouTube Adsense income month after month without fail as well as sell my products on my website. The value of the content is more important than the tools I used.
