by kgbrooklyn 5 replies
Hi All,

Does anyone know of a wordpress plugin for sliders that looks like these guys:

Hoarder: A Responsive WordPress Blog Theme | ThemeZilla
http://demo2.woothemes.com/?name=theonepager
Simple'n'Bright Wordpress Theme - Download it for free from Site5

In the examples above, the sliders were all set on an ipad or a mac.

Thanks in advance!

    This is easy to do.

There are plenty of JQuery sliders available.

Here is a great list - 80+ Awesome jQuery Slider Plugins

Go onto an image stock site, buy an iMac / iPad image.

Like these - imac Photos, Illustrations, Videos, Audio and Flash Files | iStock

Create a DIV that uses this image as the background (in the CSS), install the slider in the DIV so it matches up with position of the iDevice screen. I would get a developer on board if this is beyond you but it's easy enough.

The way the slide is designed, there still got to be images all chopped up to get the surround effect surly.

unless you got a fantastic way to show item throw a transparent pic?

    ? anyone

Nope. Just set the image as the background of the DIV in the CSS, install the slider script within that DIV. Re-size it to suit & align the slider with margins / padding. I've done this plenty of times with YouTube videos as well, where you can use a drop shadow under the player, or have a fancy picture frame around the video etc. If you get any problems with the stacking order (you won't btw if you set the background in the CSS) just use the Z-Index property in the CSS to show one element over/under another.
